Sylvia Semel has published two books unrelated to the music industry.
She is a song lyricist. Her genres are: Pop, Pop Rock and Pop Country.She has written on all aspects of love: from unrequited, sad love songs to songs filled with elation on finding that special person.
She began to promote her music a few years ago. Since then her songs have been on THE TOP 10 OVERALL, POP, NORTH AMERICA, NEW JERSEY, MID TEMPO,FEMALE VOCAL, MID ATLANTIC, UNITED STATES and COUNTRY ROCK on Broadjam; and one of her songs has won a contest. Her song I'LL SHOW HIM WHO WHO so far has made it into the finals of THE SHOW ME THE MUSIC CONTEST.
Several of her songs are on TV and movie trailer databases.

MY WRITING
I've been writing for twenty some odd years. I began writing poetry, had individual poems published in various journals. Then I published a book of poems on lulu.com. The title is: POEMS YOU'LL LOVE: A COLLECTION OF LYRIC POEMS AND HAIKU. You can review it and/or purchase it on: lulu.com, barnesandnoble.com etc.
All that while I was writing lyrics for songs but until I found this web site and other similar ones, I didn't do very much with them.
Now I have about thirty five songs completed and more on the way. I've had 5 licensing acceptances on Broadjam.
I have songs on the top 10 in the following categories: MID ATLANTIC, POP, NEW JERSEY, UNITED STATES, OVERALL, MIDTEMPO and FEMALE VOCAL.
I plan to continue writing song lyrics and licensing my songs.
