And I just can't stop loving you

Story Behind The Song

Typical broken heart song: I want her/ I got her/ and I lost her. Well this is an" I lost her" song. Keep a stiff upper lip kind of attitude, even though your heart doesn't accept what you know you must.

Lyrics

I took off your ring; took your picture from the wall.
and I told myself again, that it didn't hurt at all.
But a little tiny tear, in the corner of my eye,
came rolling down my cheek, just to catch me in a lie.

And I just can't stop loving you,
I've tried 'till I'm turning blue.
My heart doesn't know we're through
ALT.(My heart still belongs to you)
And I just can't stop loving you.

I've told everyone I know,
that my heart is made of stone.
I won't walk the floor; I won't wait by the phone.
But sometimes in the night, I still call out your name.
It seems the more I try; the more I stay the same.

And I just can't stop loving you,
I've tried 'till I'm turning blue.
My heart doesn't know we're through.
And I still can't stop loving you.

I loved this song. It sounded a little Retro. Something you would hear at a bar to slow dance too. Reminded me of they type of songs that were played in the movie Road House with Patrick Swayze and Sam Elliott! Great job!

I really enjoyed this song. I felt that the Lyrics fit the instrumentation very well and overall a very good sounding song. I loved the echo/delay on the vocals. The Lyrics were very heart felt and believable.

Though it's a well trodden path I'm a sucker for this type of song
Love the vocal
Yeah the production and drums could be better blah blah but I love it
Best to you

I like the male vocalist's voice and vocal presentation. Nice meaningful lyrics too.

Nice "Love Lost" country song. Great word picture opens up the story (taking off the ring) and continues to the end (love the stone/phone rhyme). Nice instrumentation. Good slow dance song. Vocal is crystal clear and believably sung.

Very nice slow- dance country, heartache song!! Nice vocals/ harmonies! Really nice lyrics as well!!

NICE SONG WELL SUNG AND PERFORMED

This is a grate song.

smooth, reverb just right, enjoyed it very much

This is such a pretty song. I really liked it. I wasn't expecting this when I chose the category-to me its an obvious country song. Vocal pitch is very Willie Nelson and although I'm not really up to date on country in the States, if Garth Brooks picked up on this, it would be a big hit. Last time I was in the US of A, a long time ago, 'To make you feel my love' was all over the air waves and this could be too. Fine song, sensitive without being too sickly.
