This song has a great groove and production, but lyrically, it does not pull me in to the song. The beat is great for a club, or live performance, but lyrically it is not capturing my attention.
This song has a great groove. One thing that I found is that the lyrics heavily use the word "it". To paraphrase hit songwriter Beth Nielsen Chapman, a song that uses"it" needs to spend the whole song telling what "it" means. I don't feel that this song did that. Also, it seems to be about being on stage and performing. Not all people can relate to that, so they cannot pull themselves into the lyrics. I can see people dancing to this in a club setting where they don't really have time to analyze the lyrical content.
Hi Roy, I thought i might bring to your attention one of our latest additions to our songs list. it is called ' Don't Look Now'. To me it is a song ideally placed for the American music scene. Maybe I am wrong, but it must be worth a look. You are in the know and I would at least like to hear you're opinion. Regards, Anton.
