Story Behind The Song

I wrote this about someone I knew when I was in High School, and they always seemed sad and in pain, and every time I approached them to try and talk they always seemed disinterested. I've always been empathic so I can sometimes connect to a persons pain, and I just want to do something to bring them joy so they don't feel so down. Most of the time, people don't like talking about their problems, or they're not open to doing something different in their life that could possibly lead to a better situation for them.

Song Description

This song is about seeing someone you care about struggle in front of you, and you want to be there for them, but they don't really want you in there life for one reason or another. It's about caring about someone unconditionally, and wanting to be there for them regardless of what you gain from it. But, due to stubbornness or fear, the other person does not want you near them, either from fear of dragging you down with them, or maybe they are afraid of leading you on. It's really about feeling helpless.
