Lyrics

Another call at one A.M.
You're blowing up my phone again.
Saying that you're feeling lonely.
And that you really need too see me.

You tell me that you've been thinking.
I can tell that you've been drinking.
You ask if it would be alright,
If you could come over for the night. But -

(CHORUS):

One is never enough.
When you're getting drunk on love.
Spending all your time,
Tryin' to mend your life.
And I keep letting you in.
But we both know how it's gonna end.
I'll be left picking the pieces up.
Guess I love you just enough.

Friends ask if I've seen you around.
Everybody knows the story in this town.
I, I just tell them "No."
Seems the easier way to go.

They'll never get why we're over.
Truth is I love you better sober.
I'll be the one to catch you when you fall.
But I'm always your last call. Cause - (Chorus)

BRIDGE:

Nights when I wonder where you are.
Then you call me from some Bar.
And I keep letting you in.
But we both know how it's gonna end.
We'll both have regrets in the morning.
I can already see it coming. 'Cause -

(CHORUS);

One is never enough.
When you're getting drunk on love.
Spending all your time,
Tryin' to mend your life.
And I keep letting you in.
But we both know how it's gonna end.
I'll be left picking the pieces up.
Guess I love you just enough.
Enough.
Guess I love you just enough,

love the song. well done!

You had me from the first note. I loved the vocals and guitar.
Great story telling. Did you like specific instrumental parts--vocals and guitar
1) Does my intro make you want to hear the song? yes 2) Does my opening line draw you in and make you want to hear more? yes 3) Is my melody interesting? yes 4) Does my melody get stuck in your head? yes 5) Does my chorus stand out and take the song to a higher place? yes.

Very nice cut, with some Bob Seger influences. The mood stays solid from start to finish, with a nice dynamic break just around 2:37 and a memorable hook. Really well crafted song. This would work well in the right TV or film setting.

Really good demo! This song has great potential.

Love this song. The lyrics are terrific, you painted the picture and told me the story! So sad.havent we all been there?
Why this isn't already being used in part or whole in a movie or tv show, I don't know. Nice Voice, very emotion filled performance. I am sure you are already an active performer doing very well!
