Story Behind The Song
Um, happy accident. Most songwriters will tell you, some of the good stuff happens when you are just "noodling about" up and down the neck. Don't remember how I found this but all of a sudden I had a rhythmic finger-style theme that turned into a couple of variations and back to a closing theme.

Home is universal, whether it's the one we had, have, or wish we had. Home means family, self, our honest or remodeled personal history. Seems the best we can hope for is having a place where we are welcomed back despite our flaws and where the Bad Stuff

Lyrics
Steady as she goes
Even if she goes away
I know more this morning
Than I did yesterday
Trouble comes tomorrow
It will surely stay
But I still find my way home
A dollar in my pocket
I believe it's gonna rain
If I lost everything I have
I still would be the same
My spirit once a candle
Now burning like a flame
And I still find my way home
I always find my way back home
Gather up my horses
Hold the forces at the gate
The promise of another day
Is slowly taking shape
The world is in a hurry
I am glad to wait
And I still find my way home
Steady as she goes
Even if she goes away
I know more this morning
Than I did yesterday
I don't have much of anything
I have a place to stay
And I still find my way home
I always find my way back home
