Story Behind The Song
I was going through a break-up. For a long time, I really thought that relationship was right, and thus, I believed that God was being cruel and harsh to allow this horrible break-up to happen to me. I questioned His sovereignty. I doubted His grace. But one evening as I was crying out in desperation, He consoled my heart with the words of this song.

Lyrics
Vs 1: Why me, God? Why now, God? Why here?
Please answer. Can't You hear me? Do you even care?
He tenderly responds:
Ch: Please understand I'm not trying to hurt you
I'm not trying to punish you for your sin
Please comprehend that I have your very best in mind
And this is the means to an end; please trust My plan.
Vs 2: We may ask all of the questions with answers we'll never know
But we know a God with a perfect plan that in His time He'll show
He speaks so lovingly:
(chorus)
Br: All things work together for good for those who love the Lord
Keep pressing on, don't compromise. You will see great reward
The silver lining of this cloud is very soon to appear
And lo, I am with you always. My child, don't ever fear
(chorus)
