Beautiful voice!
thank you Juniper! stay tuned for more songs.
Godly voice... would be more accurate... But thats just an opinion:)
Fat Lying Wife! The title caught me, and I couldn't help but listen. The song is very entertaining! Enjoyed listening!
Thanks Junperis2. Glad you liked it. It was fun making it. I am sure we all know at least one of those mothers and wives in town that drive us all nuts :)
Hi Penny, Love the red hair!
Thanks! My dove Char is a little suspicious of me lol...It's really a photo of one of my characters in our little video series.Kind of fun, I get to be a blond also!
Funny how animals sense changes like that! I just watched Searching for Sammy. My My that snow looks beautiful, but I know it must be awfully freezing and uncomfortable. I LOVED the dialogue at the staircase. Great flow to the conversation and fun characters. Will watch more later. Best Regards, Ron
Thanks for watching Ron! You are right about animals. If I wear my hair up Char does a double take and she really does react to the color red. She's not crazy about a red blouse for instance....She's controlling my wardrobe! It's OK though as she is such a sweet and tolerant pet in most every way....Thanks again for your positive comments...We are having fun doing these videos if nothing else.......
Hi Penny, Congratulations on your top 20 placement in this year's competition! What a fun ride, huh?!
Congratulations to you too Ron. Yes it's always fun and it does get us all writing!
Hi Ron! "Naughty Girl" video very spooky, sexy and mysterious! The music is great and fits perfectly with the action.Great job by all involved, very professional and tight.Dynamic smooth vocal!
Thank you Penny for reviewing and for the encouraging words. The director did a good job on that one, and the cast was a lot of fun to work with.
Thank you for making it a top video too! :-) So glad you liked it!
Yes the director did an excellent job! Working with people on projects like that usually turns out to be even more fun than expected.Maybe you will do more.Best of luck and keep creating!
My dear Ron....CONGRATULATIONS on your Top 20 Finish in the 2010 BJ Six-Pack competition! and man, do you deserve it! You are one of the truly originally gifted presences on BJ and in the world of music today. I always look forward to postings of your new songs. Having been a raving fan of Frank Zappa during his lifetime, as I've said to you before, I see much of his unique genius in your work. You have the most fabulous and uniquely original senses of humor and bring an edgy perspective to every piece you produce. I am deeply humbled that you have honored me by allowing me to collaborate with you on several songs and I look forward to continuing to share a collaborative relationship with you in the future. I can't wait to come to Florida and meet you, my good friend! all my very best wishes to you and your family for a wonderful holiday season and Happy and Prosperous New Year! Sincerely, H. Jay Carney
Thank you buddy! Let me know when you're in Florida!
Hi Ron....just stopping by to pay you a visit and see what's up in Juniperisville:-). How'd your new contract with the publishing company? Have you made your first million yet?? I hope so, cause you deserve it! all my best, jayjay
Thanks for your interest H Jay! No money yet. Plus, there's a self-inflicted pressure to deliver the goods now. Gotta upgrade my studio capabilities.
It's exciting! Don't mean to hint any negativity. It's a new level of professionalism so there's a little nervousness is all.
I wanted to share some good news. A couple months back I placed a total of 14 songs across two very good music libraries. 3 of these song placements were the direct result of a Broadjam Licensing Opportunity. Then last weekend I signed on with a third very successful music library that I will be composing new songs for on a regular basis.
Congrats Kurt! You have persevered and earned these good achievements. Looking forward to more good things to come...keep rockin!
If any of my Bjam connections are also at the TAXI rally this weekend, please ring my room through the LAX Westin front desk and maybe we can arrange for a quick meet-up!
Great idea! That would be cool and I would really like to meet and hang out. I am not quite ready for prime time yet and am hoping to be able to part of TAXI in the future. I don't know about the others, but it would be great to hear a report of how it went there. Thanks for the general invite, pretty cool...
Will do Vince.
Enjoy Vince! I was there at Taxi last year, it was great and made me rethink a few things. I'm sorry I couldn't go this year, it's a costly trip for me right now. If you get a chance, go to the open mic. on the first floor, run by fellow B'jam members Neil and Elizabeth from Pairadeux (and Denver, CO.). Taxi gave them official sanction two years ago and their open mic. is better than the 'other' ie, the main one. If you see them and do a piano spot, tell 'em I said "Hi".
WINNER OF THE SPOOKY SONG OF THE MONTH!!!! YOU DA MAAAAAN!!!!
They didn't know it was me.
You ARE da man!!! ;)
CONGRATS PRO!! I've come to expect nothing less from the talented Mr. Protilius. Nice Job! -B

Thanks Ron! Hoping to add more music soon... everything is in development right now, but I'm on it hehehe. Gonna update the pic soon too... had a great idea for it yesterday, just a few seconds in Photoshop/Corel and it'll be done.... =) Hope you're having an awesome week!
....so, i just took a long nap, and when i work up, i'm suddenly feeling all soft and furry. it was a "bear" of a nap!! .....oh well, think i'll climb a tree and sing a song about gum drops
Awesome @#$%ing jingle brother!!! VERY NICE!!! N
Its sooooooo CATCHY!!! You nailed it!!!!!
Thanks my friend. Makes me thirsty :)
Happy Birthday Roy and thank you for all that you do here to make Broadjam possible!
Ron, Thanks for the note and being a member. Your thoughts and comments are always appreciated.....Keep making that great music.....Roy
Listened to some of your tracks today. So Confused is a very good pop song. Very good production. You Don't Have to Cry has some very good harmonies. It seems like you performed them and if so, it's an extremely healing and soothing vocal performance. I really liked Take What You Want from the World. Reminded me of Mr Mister in a very good way...one of my personal faves. Also listened to Without Jesus...very good worship material. I could definitely see something like this taking off in churches for the holiday season. Not just on your merit of quality musicianship but on truth as well. You have a very diverse collection of quality songs. Keep rockin!
Thanks for the comments Ron. My curse is my diversity, though it is serving me well in the leaderboard today. I am a HUGE fan of mr. mr. I especially love the album that followed the first big one, and could never figure out why it wasn't a huge hit. Their lyricist is phenomenal. Thanks for the comments, and for listening. Looking forward to exploring your site. Keep in touch, Larry
Glad to find another Mr Mister fan! I did not listen much to their followup and now feel compelled to check it out. But I did wear out their hits: Kyrie, Is It Love and Take These Broken Wings. I listened a lot to Uniform of Youth too. To me, they were pioneers at merging synth and arpeggiation to live rock instrumentation. It's what drew me to them. Not to mention that they made good songs too :)
Listened to Whole Lotta Trouble today. Very good. You're vocal performances are always smooth. Spellbinding. Like you belong in gypsy camp casting these kinds of vocal spells on your listeners :-) I expected to hear something more Stevie Nicks-sounding and was pleasantly surprised. I imagine you could script a very captivating performing show with material like this. Keep up the good work!
Huniper! thank you sooo much..This was a track that sat around for 10 years with one of jakes partners and i finally ahd a chance to take a stab at it..I wrote the lyrics based on my baby..lol shhhhhh..
It's very good. I just saw Wolfman with Benicio Del Toro for the first time last night. There's a part in the movie where he goes to a gypsy camp. The movie deals with potent themes such as: forbidden love, the beast within, a father/son-mother/son dynamic, etc. If I was making a Wolfman movie in a modern day setting, I'd use this track. And obviously, I'd want to get you to perform it! :-)
Happy Birthday Pro! Wear some shades today. The sun is shining on you and your future burns bright!
just stopped by to pay you a visit and wish you well. the world needs another Frank Zappa and I wish to officially nominate you:-). you have the most wonderfully creative mind and zany sense of humor on BJ. all my best, jj
Thanks dude! Appreciate the encouragement and your nomination is well-received! :-)
Ron Rules!
Ron... Did you do the ninja song in 4 can? Ron... You know I love you right? :) Roundhouse kick to the face, @#$% you! lol
That was me! Haha! The ninja CEO has gotta go! Us ninjas need a new business model.
Keep rockin' on that leaderboard Morgen! I've heard several of your songs while reviewing in the cans, and you're craft always shines bright.

Hi Don, Enjoyed Navajo Nation. Could definitely envision that in a movie. Take care!
But will THEY (lol). Thanks, Juni!
Congratulations on #1 Pro! You've earned some time in the spotlight
Elevator to hell... GOING DOWN!!!!!!!!!!
Listened to your 6-pack jingle yesterday. LOVE IT!! :-)
Thanks man! i appreciate that..I have 2 so not sure which one you liked..I have to get moving as I'm sure my competitors already have 100! lol
It had a reggae feel to it.
oooh, yeah..lol..I'm such a spaz at harmonies..you should have seen how many takes I had to do!! lmao
It was very good. Very professional. Sweet lullaby and to-the-point with a 30 sec commercial edit and all :-)
Congrats Morgen! Very happy to see you're in the top 10! Keep rockin!!
Dude! #3!!
Thank you Morgen! Very happy to see you're in the top 10 too! Keep rockin!!
ROCK IT BABY!!!!!!!!
Hey man, THIRD PLACE! Yea man!
Thank you HJ! You're in the top 10 dude! CONGRATS! :-)
Beautiful marriage of subject matter and reggae style on your song "Make It Stop." Soul-grabbing, to say the least.
Thanks much--that's a special one!
juniperis2's I too just listened to this reggae song and its great. I used every search mechanism i could think of but was not able to locate it. It sounds like the title should be "Make It Stop", but this does locate the song. For what its worth, here are the lyrics. Hope you can find it. Its a great song. Very Bob Marley-like So many people running So many people alone So many people suffering And the world don't wanna know Whoa whoa please make it stop Whoa whoa So many traditions crumbling Making us all feel so small So many changes coming I can't keep track of them all No no no Whoooaa Please make it stop Whoooaa Look what we going through What's happened to our ways Whoa What's a man to do And what's good to complain So many people struggling Trying to put food on the shelf So many people stumbling And we don't even believe in ourselves No no no Whoa whoa Please make it stop Whoa whoa Whoa Whoa whoa Please make it stop Whoa whoa Jul 28, 2010/6:59 pm
Thank you HJ! I haven't found the song yet, but the words by themselves mean a lot to me. Thanks for helping!!
