Hi Randy, yes on the song bed "Did You Write This Note" Thanks for listening.... Marvin
Hey Randy, Thanks a lot for the review of The Heist :) I've had the chance to review at least two of your tracks (Aventure Theme and the Great Randini I think) which I really appreciated so your opinion does mean something to me. Did you manage to place Adventure Theme ? If I'm not mistaken I think this one was picked for a Indiana Jones kind of movie
Thank you for your kind comments. Ive never placed anything in my life unfortunately, so I finally decided to simply write because I love doing it.
Hi again Randy, Looks like Broadjam cued up a couple of mine for you. Thanks for listening to and reviewing "Sweet Dixie Bride". That's quite an old one... back when I was recording on a Fostex 8 Track with Ensoniq stuff and an E-mu Proteus! The drums are a Roland R8... I used to love "playing drums" on that thing! There are a few old instrumentals on my Broadjam page from that era... Adam and The Ant, Hamilton's Soft Shoe, Sammy's Groove Shop, Night Becomes Her... kinda fun to keep those around for posterity's sake. Thanks again for taking the time to listen and provide meaningful comments. Frank
Hi Randy, Thanks so much for taking the time to review my song "Mom's Journey Home". I really do appreciate your thoughtful and useful perspectives/comments. One day I'll have to take the time to re-record that one using the better sound library that I have today. alas though, I've lost the original Pro Tools session, so I'd have to start from scratch... which isn't necessarily a bad thing. ;) That's something that I am so impressed with in your pieces (see previous comment/question below) ... the detailing/articulations in your orchestral tracks/performances. Thanks again for the review. Frank
Thank you for your review of my song Whispers. It was so refreshing to have someone actually take the time to point out things, I really appreciate you doing that. As a result I listened to your songs and was blown away. You have a great voice, the piano sounds great the ac guitar sounds great...I am very impressed.
Thanks Randy for the kind words! You have a lovely musical sense as well.
Hey Randy!!!!.....just had to comment on your tune "friends in high places"...WOAH!!!!...EXTREMELY COOL!!!!...it's going on my playlist!!!!!...Great tune!!! TK/ BroGreede!
Hey Randy, Thanks for the great review of the INSTRUMENTAL VERSION of my song, "If You See Kaye". At one time it won the "Best Song Contest at Broadjam"! Glad you like the "the LIVE band sound"! But, here is a secret, I played all the instruments and made it sound "live", something I am good at. That said, PLEASE seek out the version on Broadjam with LYRICS> It is a fun song, I wrote back in 1965, and meant to be a Beatles-Kinks crossover track. Fun story..... Best to you! Chet Nichols
Hi again Randy, I just listened to your song "The Long Train Ride Home". Beautifully crafted and executed piece! Your nuancing/voicing is extraordinary, and the tasteful use of the glides is organic and convincing. I was wondering, what are you using for your strings and solo violin? Very well done! Frank
Hi Randy, Thanks for reviewing my song "John's New England Fall". I really appreciate you taking the time to listen and to provide meaningful feedback. It's nice to know that someone has really listened to a piece... it's reflected in the detail of their comments. That's an older piece. As you noted, it could really benefit from a refreshed production/mastering. Unfortunately, I'm not confident that I have the original Pro Tools session... I lost a bunch of files years ago during a computer crash/rebuild. Nonetheless, thanks again for the review! While I'm here I'll check out some of your music. Be and stay well, Frank
Randy thank you so very much for your kind review of my electronic instrumental piece Ill Will. It is truly a satisfying feeling when the listener gets the song right off the bat like you did sir. Thanks again Best to you Ante N.
Hi Randy, Thank you very much for reviewing "A Noble Girl" -- I really appreciate it and I'm glad you enjoyed it! Take care, Jon
Thank you so much for your five star rating on the song "That Chair by the Window" Oddly it doesn't show up in my reviews section, but it did come to my email. Either way thank you R
Thank you again for your interest in my writing.
Hi David... thank you so much for your great review of my piece "Adventure theme" I really appreciate it.
Hey Randy, I meant every single word, including the ref to John Williams !
I really appreciate your glowing review of my "Adventure Theme" piece. Coming from you that means a lot, your stuff is excellent.
Hi Randy, It was my pleasure! I really enjoyed your work, and I always love to hear what you come up with! Take care, Jon
Hi Randy...just want to make a comment on "That Chair By The Window"..absolutely beautifully written composition...great song and I enjoyed it very much! Definitely a 5/5 or higher!!! Keep up the outstanding work!. I've become a fan!!! Anthony Z / BroGreede
Hi Randy! Many many thanks to you for taking time out to review "Wings Of Hope". This was actually the first piece I recorded on my PC through MagixPro and I think this made it all sound a bit rigid. Maybe one of these days I will redo it on my 8 track, we will see. Will have a listen to some of your songs in the next days or so. Best wishes and good luck 2024! Paul Daren
Hi Randy, Thanks for your detailed review of Days Of Mystery. Very valid comments about the arrangement, I'm always happy to get constructive feedback. (I seem to have a bit of habit of playing bits and pieces of guitar on songs but I do try to avoid crossing over the vocal. I maybe could have tried harder in this song!) Much appreciated, Bob P.S. Had a quick trip around some of your songs, very high quality and nice original compositions. Good luck with your projects.
Returning to Broadjam after a few years and heard your "Dance of the Autumn Leaf Fairy" in the ShowDown. That was a breath of fresh air so came to your page. Most impressed. I hope this leads to great things for you. Given the time of year, Happy Holidays to you and family
Hey Randy, Thanks for the great review of escape, much appreciated! Thanks for the suggestion also! George

Man this sounds great... so great that now I'm in love with Joy (obviously kidding). I honestly can't tell if these are orchestrated with real players or not... I'm very impressed with not only your sound, but the writing and performances are superb.
yes she has a stunning voice and she is perfect for breathtaking music. thank you so much for the comment and i am very happy you enjoyed the music!
very cool tune in Friends in High Places, one thing i'd like it to hear the lyrics in this mix a bit more clearly, very nice musicianship! xoxo warren
Randy, Very glad you liked my "Little Drummer Boy" was always one of my favorite modern xmas songs. Thanks you for your kind review. In music Delta
Well Randy, I listened to all your songs. As I come away from them, I'm certain there is a gypsy hiding in the long train ride, and in the procession. Nice guitar and sax, and what a thrill to hear trumpet! Would like to know what you mean when you say "just a school assignment." I've seen some licensing posts lately that Adventure Theme would fit. Thanks for listening to some of mine. Hattie
Hi Hattie... I find that having some reason or having a subject matter to write about is very helpful. I went to school where they had specific assignments and sometimes had even a defined subject matter. So those pieces were a few of those assignments. This morning I had the delightful opportunity to list to a wide swath of your material, good heavens you are diverse. With all the electronic stuff happening these days it is so delightful to hear real musicians and emotions being expressed. I only recently was able to afford working with other musicians again, and can honestly say I just love it. I also love co-writing but everyone is so busy these days I've not had much luck making that happen. You are extremely talented, consider me one of your fans...I'll be listening...
Hi Randy. Well, I'm your fan, too. Your voice is very emotive and so is your daughter's. Both voices are full of sincerity and authenticity. As for assignments, I have written to Broadjam's contests and challenges, and I have a handful of songs I'm proud of that would not exist without those BJ "assignments." It's a good feeling to be able to write to order. Glad you found some songs of mine that speak to you. Yeah, diverse. I remember moving to LA in the mid 80s and being told if I wanted to succeed, I had to stick to one genre. Didn't want to do it then, and don't want to now cause there's great music in all genres. And I always noticed that famous musicians didn't have to stick with one genre, but I know the LA advice was about breaking into the business. I'm working with musicians long distance, which is fun, but not as fun as eyeballing each other in the same room. Do you play piano?
Oh my gosh... I moved to LA in the eighties too... I put in 5 years I hated la... they told me the same thing, AND that I needed to sound more like whatever the flavor of the days artist was ...can't remember... Thank you for your kind comments... and if u ever have desire to co write something sometime lemme know. I do play piano... I write mostly on piano and guitar in G tuning. I'm not really good at anything in particular but I'm okay at a lot of stuff. Comes from writing alone for so many years.
Wow, I'm impressed with your profile content..... and were neighbors...Good stuff.
Thank you so much.... I've listened to a number of your pieces as well. I really like your style... in particular I like your use of unexpected chords and that ethereal feel you create. Yes we are neighbors...and I plan to keep an ear out for any future material you write... I really like it.
Randy, Thanks for the review.....I pulled that out of the grave, recored on a 8 track, in a garage, in 1975
Hey Randy, Just heard,"Let the Waters Carry Me Home", nice melody! Is that you singing the tune?? You have a pretty nice voice Sir, works well with your material!! 5 Stars & Likes! Say, I thought we were once Broad Jam Buddies for awhile, but can't seem to find the connection in my files! So, I have a Grand Idea, let's try reconnecting again, and talk Music! We have some tunes that might interest you....maybe?? You never know until we connect again?? Stay Safe Mister Calligan and wear that Mask!! Toodles. Margie & Art Corey.........
Howdy... thanks for your kind comments. Yes that was me singing. Lets have a listen....
Hattie I really like your work a lot.... It's so nice to hear someone actually writing music instead of rehashing cover tunes. Your stuff has real quality and a great feel overall. VERY REFRESHING
Thanks Randy. Just finished listening to your entire list, so we're mutually refreshed!
Hi Randy, Thanks for the comments on my Piano Song! Great observations. Interestingly, it was an actual acoustic grand piano I recorded with an SM58 in my bedroom. I think your comments were right on point! Thanks for taking the time. Paul Pierce
Hi Paul, Very nice piece. Your comment to me facilitated my being able to listen to your other music. What a treat, you have some real talent my friend. Not only great tunes but real instruments and real players...pedal steel... Im green with envy.
Dear Randy, GREAT Composition! Sounds like Music from the 50's Disney Films...Fantasia! I can almost see Mickey conducting the Waves!!! You really know how to use virtual instruments!!! 5 Stars & Likes! Keep hearing those morning songs!! Stay Safe Sir!! The Corey's..........
Hey there Randy, just heard your song, "The Things I Miss", nice composition, is that you singing?? If so, Good Job!! Gave you 5 Stars & Likes!! Stay Safe and wear a Mask, in fact...Wear Two Masks!! Toodles, The Corey's........
Thank you so much I really appreciate it
Hey Randy, one more query??? Was that you singing on your composition?? The Vocal was really nice!! Art Corey..........
I apologize for such a belated response.... I need to get on Broadjam more often. I sang both the things I miss the most and the other one you asked about. I'll try to do better....
