Hey Hart brothers, You are welcome! Great to meet you and we appreciate the compliment!
Have a Cold One on Me Baby, You hit honky tonk right on with this one Shelly. You are a seasoned artist and song writer your lyrics are meaningful and relatable. To me the lyrics have to mean something. I like the song (A Man and his Guitar also) all of your songs tell a relatable story. Thank you for the stars on (No One Will Ever Know) Your heart and mind is where I'm at also. Keep on keeping on Girl!

You asked about D-Mac.....Yes interesting. There is a change happening right before our eyes..... the industry is getting tired of the same old worn out melodies and phrasing......Some of the girls are taking it serious I guess.... They can find a pocket anywhere
So Sky High, is D-Mac available for session Vocal work??
She has a terrific voice!!!

Now we're in Indiana!
Wish I was there!
The piano only version of "One Night Stand" is just beautiful! It loses the Country feel to it, but I actually love the different feel that is created by the stripped back feel.
More sensual maybe!
Thanks for five stars for One Night Stand (Piano) version
Also nice to see you add One Night Stand (Piano) to your Playlist. Enjoy!
Nae worries, my friend!
Thank you for your great review Jim, keep on trucking, keep on loreying
Thank you for the great review Jim, keep on trucking, or keep on lorying!
Thanks for the detailed review of Better Days, much appreciated! You mentioned the mix not being up to snuff so if you don't mind please let me know what you lthink was lacking, thanks!
Hey! I went back and listened again. The quality of the mix is really solid, I really think what stands out to me most is the drum tracks. They sound programmed, like they're a little too "on the grid" in some places, as opposed to a lot of the other instrumentation which sounds like it's being played by a person. An example is at the 1:24 and 1:51 it sometimes felt like the drums were almost off time because everything else has it's own feel and flow to it and the whole time the drums are right on the click.
I don't know how you actually did the recordings on this song, if it was a live drummer, the drums still feel off in some places. It's kind of lacking the dynamics that a real drummer would bring to it. Every snare hit on the track sounds the same but a real snare will sound slightly different every time you hit it. Same with the hi hat, it just has the same intensity every time you hear it.
I have heard some tracks that sound like it's programmed drums but there's a little more time put into making it seem like a real drummer is playing, It's totally doable to get it to sound almost identical. I've just been in a lot of recording sessions with live drums and I know how hard it is to get them to sound great, and that's maybe where I felt having a profession engineer would help in that area of recording.
Those were my main thoughts, guitars and keys sound great. Sadly my speakers don' get the best bass so it's hard to comment on that sometimes.
Hope this helps, I just want everyone to find some form of success.
Thanks for the speedy response! I hear what you're saying about the drum tracks. It is software and I do spend some time editing the midi files not only to fit the tune but to adjust timing and dynamics. Used to record live drums but it was too frustrating on a couple of levels. Thanks again for your input, not many people are willing to be as honest. Much appreciated!!
Thanks for your review and constructive input Will.

thanks guys I try to be helpful enjoyed the song
Thanks for reviewing I'm In Love Tonight. You're correct in calling it dated as it's a very old song now which I should probably remove at some stage. I am intrigued by " but try adding some furniture", what the heck does that mean?
Ah-it's a phrase much used in the song critiquing world...it means try to add colors, objects and other visuals to your song along with your in-depth feelings. Hope this helps-good luck with your music!
I sort of guessed that may be the case, but I've never heard it before. Thanks, Bob
I'm Not Going Anywhere is excellent! Loved it! Beautiful voice! My favorite so far.

Thank you, sir.
Hi, Many thanks for your kind review of Dance Hall Of Dreams, I'm pleased you enjoyed it, it's one of my pedigree songs. It was written specifically for a Christmas Concert when I managed the Pavilion Theatre & Ballroom, Bournemouth, UK and was inspired by an elderly couple who came in most weeks to dance. They were still obviously very much in love with each other and were so elegant on the dance floor, well into their 80's.
I like the idea of making it a bit more country, something to have a go at I think.
Very nice Bob keep them coming
Thanks for the kind review of "You're Everywhere I Look"....You mentioned something about singing with those guys.... Most of the songs I put up are tracks to be Top Lined..Let me know and we can make that happen,,,, Marvin
Many thanks guys for your kind review of Rolling On. It is one of my less noticeable songs and in the old days would have been an album filler - but I also have a soft spot for it. I had to look up Levon Helm and have to say, I wish I did sound a bit more like him!!
You make some good points in the review, and I'm grateful.
Keep on writing Bob, I got lots of fillers you got great talent, good luck. Buddy Hart
hey thanks much for your in depth and accurate review of my song Second Chance (female vocal), I'm honored by your words...
