Many thanks for your review of Trees Shaun. It's very professional, fair and comprehensive. TBH drums are something I seldom give too much thought to, perhaps I should!? I had taken my eye/ear off the percussion because I never intended it as being a major part, to remain in the background. However, if I'm going to do it, I want to do it right, and I'm glad of your feedback. I'll have a critical listen and repair as necessary. I would be interested to know what you think about the piano bridge (at about 02.30), some want it out, some want it in. It's really a hangover of a vocal using the same melody where I needed a different character, designed to be different. I've put an example without the bridge on my Bjam songs if you have time to listen. Both work, both have pros and cons, would love your take on it? Cheers, Bob
Well for what it's worth my friend, the "newest" trimmed version is just splendid, makes much more musical "sense" to me, and what I imagined actually--all listening the first time before the cut on my phone speaker! You are very close IMO... W

The only thing I don't like about them is the 60/40 cut. They get 60. But I get a check every quarter. You just need to learn how to submit metadata

not a bad idea at all, and your work is very cinematic/background potential for stuff they brag about having! I hope you do well there but it took me a coupla years to make what I do now, but now it's steady. i make it with them by them spewing a few vocals all over the internet...se la vee! beer money...

Checked out a coupled of your faves... very cool stuff. Both are very well done, textural soundtrack type pieces... I see Bones as a soundtrack piece myself. The style on these two takes me back to my days of listening/exploring Fripp & Eno and other experimental/progressive (at that time) music. Cool stuff indeed! Frank

Hi, Arden. Your name is not appearing when I go to the mail and select friends which tells me Broadjam's code has screwed up again. Check your private email. Anyway, a review of your latest, which all sound incredible! I can definitely hear the improvements! Especially with the clarity of them. I'm really curious to know what the important steps were that you employed. "Prelude" is clear, sweeping, I can hear the subtle echo voices. Keyboards are just beautiful. "The Crowd"...your vocals are PERFECT. Just the right clarity and volume. Guitars are placed perfectly with the right volume and emphasis. As with all your selections, you have GREAT melodies and lyrics blend into them bringing out the mood the lyrics convey. "Reap What You Sow"...the uncomfortably tense effect is terrific...really clear. Vocals are much better as I think they sound much less like rap and take on a more imposing raspy feel. The only thing I can think of may be a very slightly less reverb on them ONLY if it is a very easy change. If it works... "Cure" I love this track! Still curious about the steps you took. Sounds perfect. "Forced to Run" is beautifully mixed and mastered, too. Your echoes are great. All instruments have perfectly emphasized and placed. John
