Mixing gasoline and nitro would make a pretty impressive explosion, though nothing like the high powered alt-country performance from these blue collar boys from Birmingham. Described as "dixie fried roots rock with a dash of punk," Caddle draws on classic country and bluegrass influences, then supercharges them with hard driving southern rock n' roll with an attitude.

Caddle has opened shows for artists such as Billy Joe Shaver, Kid Rock, Jason Aldean, Lynyrd Skynyrd, 3 Doors Down, Molly Hatchet, the Reverend Horton Heat, The Black Crowes, Dale Watson, Webb Wilder, Bobby Bare, Jr.… In 2005 Caddle opened several shows for J Records recording artist, Silvertide. On stage Walt Lafty, lead singer of Silvertide said, “Caddle is the best band I have seen in two years of being on the road.” A huge compliment considering they have opened for Aerosmith, Van Halen and Velvet Revolver.

Caddle currently holds a tour schedule of 6 to 12 shows per month.

BIOGRAPHY

They call themselves the bastard sons of Southern Rock and they have the pedigree to prove it: claiming influences as far-flung as classic rock and alt-country, not to mention classic country, punk and R&B.

They use it all to make a sort of super-symphonic stew, equal parts rock-n-roll and southern-fried raucous punk. If you have heard their new seven song EP, “cuz beer don’t grow on trees,” you know what we're talking about. If not, take it on word from Mark Wehner of Americana Tonight who describes them as “Hank Williams fronting the Ramones” or John Dotson who has managed such artists as Steve Earle, Confederate Railroad, Ricky Van Shelton and Dreaming in English, and says Caddle’s music is “Steve Earle meets the Clash.”

This five member blue-collar band from Birmingham, Alabama is not trying to change the world just provide an escape from the daily grind with some Southern humor, hospitality and a hell raising stage show that makes music lovers everywhere stand-up and take notice. One taking notice is Billy Block of Western Beat Entertainment who said, "I have seen over 4,000 bands in the past ten plus years here on Western Beat and Caddle is without a doubt in my top three."

Caddle has opened shows for artists such as Billy Joe Shaver, Kid Rock, Molly Hatchet, the Reverend Horton Heat, Supersuckers, The Black Crowes, Dale Watson, Webb Wilder, The Exies, El Pus, Bobby Bare, Jr… In 2005 they had the opportunity to open seven shows for J Records recording artist, Silvertide. On stage Walt Lafty, lead singer of Silvertide said, “Caddle is the best band I have seen in two years of being on the road.” A huge compliment considering they have opened for Aerosmith, Van Halen and Velvet Revolver.

Grammy award winning producer, Don McCollister has agreed to produce Caddle’s upcoming full-length CD to be released in June 2006. Until then, these cad’s are dedicated to breaking new markets, one at a time. With music to record and tours to book, the band is trailblazing with high volume and a magnetic sing along style.

With this in mind, Caddle is hitting the road and sharing their music in hopes that you will jump in the van and join them on the ride.
