Greetings I am Menkara "The High Priest of Universe Soul",

I currently reside in the High Desert of California City, California where I moved in order to keep it hot. I did my intensive and extensive studies of the soul in my hometown of Detroit,MI better known as "Motown".

My Music is simply my Lifeforce. I write and perform from the heart. My influences are everybody from Sam Cooke to Kurt Cobain, John Lennon to Aaron Copeland, Paul Robeson to Jimi Hendrix, Cee-lo, Outkast, Lauren, D'Angelo, Saadiq, Badu, Fertile Ground and beyond. I create my Music following the criteria of these "Masters". I believe in feeling, rhythm, melody, a good story, and the ability to tap into the collective subconscious of the target audience.

I make my music for everyone. It is "soul" music because that is the essence of it. Soul is my roots I grew up with Marvin, EWF, and Sly Stone. However it is universal in the experiences that I feel everyone can relate to. Mer Hetepu. (Love'n'Peace)

Greetings to all!!! I am the High Priest of Universe Soul Menkara. In a nutshell, I am originally from Detroit,MI. I currently reside in California City, CA. I have a diverse background. First I joined up with an a cappella group called Street Corner Symphony in College. That was cool but my inner sense said I should do my own thing. So I entered and won numerous talent shows and the sort. After school I toured with several black gospel musicals like "A Good Man Is Hard To Find"(Jesus). I also starred in The Final Word and Deliverance Among The Believers and had major parts in Perilous Times and othersI I used that experience to learn from Gospel greats like Vickie Winans, Karen Clarke-Sheard, and Yalonda Adams among others. However my inner sense (innocence) moved me to move on to the secular world of R and B/Soul. This has brought me to where I am now. I'm positioning myself to go to heights that only the Masters have reached. I will not stop until I get there. I had to move out to the Mojave Desert in order to keep my music hot. Currently I am quite pleased. This music I have to offer you is from my cd 'Divine Mamaz 1st Borne Sun'. I am busy writing and preparing to brush off this album at the legendary United Sound Studios in Detroit with some help from my people. We are developing a whole new sound which is quite unique yet familiar. Times are ripe. America and the world is ripe. My goal is to write, perform, and produce the soundtrack of our Lifetim
