I am a son of the Belgae -- the ancient tribes who once stood their ground in the northern lands of Gaul, where Belgium now stands. History remembers them as fierce, independent, and unyielding, called by Julius Caesar "the bravest of all the Gauls." That is the blood in my veins, the spirit I carry forward.
Their defiance, their resilience, their refusal to bow to empires -- these live on in me. My journey, with its triumphs and betrayals, losses and rebirths, is part of a much older story. I am not without history. I am rooted in it. And every note of music I create, every word I write, carries the fire of the Belgae into the present.
A son of the Belgae, I carry their spirit into every story, every song, and every chapter of my life.


Yves Stilmant is a multi-genre creator whose work spans music, literature, and film. A veteran musician, songwriter, composer, arranger, producer, and recording engineer, Yves has built a career on blending emotional depth with technical mastery. Originally from Brussels, Belgium, he began performing at just 12 years old, touring at 16 internationally and recording with top-tier musicians before ultimately settling in the United States.
As the driving force behind SLT Recording Studio and Groove Tattoo Publishing, Yves has released over the years 29 albums across country, rock, blues, pop, funk, and cinematic soundtrack genres. His compositions range from radio-ready country ballads to orchestral scores inspired by the likes of John Williams and Hans Zimmer.
In literature, Yves has authored sweeping mythic sagas such as The Legend of Arakai, Arakai and the Sisters of Elune, and Crown of Fire and Flame -- works that blend rich world building with epic adventure. His latest novel, The Last Algorithm, shifts into philosophical science fiction, exploring the rise of AI consciousness and the moral questions it provokes.
Yves' storytelling vision extends into screenwriting, with film adaptations in development for Arakai - The Silver Flame of the Forgotten and The Last Algorithm. In these projects, his experience as a composer shines, often creating original scores alongside the scripts to shape the mood from the earliest stages.
Whether through a guitar riff, a symphonic movement, or a cinematic scene, Yves' work carries a unifying thread: a deep respect for the human (and sometimes non-human) spirit, the belief in coexistence without domination, and the power of creativity to inspire connection.
