Story Behind The Song
As with all of the other pieces in this album, this is a complete improvisation. I sat at the piano, put my fingers on the keyboard, and this was what happened through my stream of consciousness and some amount of intention throughout the process.
The title is given because I witnessed a scary interaction between a parent and their children that triggered strong emotions and made me feel a need to express myself. I was not safe to do so in words.
Song Description
A stream of consciousness improvisation on acoustic baby grand piano with neo-Classical and jazz elements, reminiscent of Keith Jarrett, Claude Debussy, Gabriel Faure, and other impressionist composers.
