Story Behind The Song
Another improvisation, but this one was specifically designed to challenge my dexterity, given my increasing paresthesia (spreading and intermittent numbness, tingling, and loss of control over my extremities, including feet and hands). It was both a challenge to myself and a tragicomical lament, but it is ultimately meant to sound playful and like a dance.
Song Description
A stream of consciousness improvisation on acoustic baby grand piano with neo-Classical and jazz elements, reminiscent of Keith Jarrett, Claude Debussy, Gabriel Faure, and other impressionist composers.
