Story Behind The Song

As the parenthetical title implies, the song uses the game of Capture the Flag to illustrate how two people with traumatic pasts would initially interact in the beginning stages of a relationship, platonic or otherwise, and one person's optimism that the constant battle, the give and take, could be forgone in favor of understanding and peace.

Song Description

A wistful, mid-tempo rock song with rich vocal harmony and bluesy, country feel using drums, bass, piano, and layered vocals, following a standard modern song format. The song is intended to have at least one guitar track, which is not currently present in the mix.
