starts pinkfloyd-ish in the verse then turns into natalie imbruglia for the hook.
arrangement and recording are good
Impressive - and wonderful in many ways. A passionate love song, good lyrics with nice rhymes and just-right repetition. I usually dislike a steady drumbeat in a song, but the drummer in this recording is innovative and creative, and the drum doest not compete with the vocals.
I is always a great experience to hear a singer/songwriter with a new and exciting sound, and this is definitely what I hear listening As a professional poet myself, I expcially appreciate the effort and struggle in writing this lyric. I am assuming the singer wrote this captivating song, and also I appreciate that while the singer has a certain amount of many other singers, he certainly is no copycat singer, and adds a refreshing and near perfect sound to an old vocal sound.
I really enjoyed listening to this song, it some how made me think of the song "Brother in Arms" which I've always loved. I really liked the acoustic guitar intro and the simple ending with piano.
Bridge came in at right time and built into a great instrumental solo. Nice vocal, warm tone :)
Heartfelt vocals. Nice guitar playing. You have some very creative word choices in the verses. "Gravity won't embrace me" is good. The bridge is strong, as is the lead guitar that follows it. Probably that is song's the strongest quality. I like the little bit of piano I can hear in the background. I can understand about 95% of the lyrics. Instrumentation/production is pretty good. If only you could find a way to shorten this song. I really like the ending with the piano, very sweet.
I really dug your vocal delivery. I can hear a lot of Pink Floyd influences in the music and lyrical approach, specifically Roger Waters. I can see where you want to take this tune. I can imagine a choir for the chorus. Your story relates to a lot of people as a good soul searching look into the hearts of us all at some point in our lives.
What a great surprise the deep voice that broke into the early part of the song was. A really neat late 60's David Bowie's "Major Tom" kind of feel. I liked how the vocal doubling effect worked for you too. I really enjoyed the chorus too.
Gives me a Bowie feel. Nice sound on the instruments and I like the lyrics
I like the quality of the voice. It is unique and commercial. The lyrics are strong and I appreciate the vocabulary that is more sophisticated than the typical folk song. The blend of a rock sounding guitar made it different and set it apart from the other folk songs.
I like the way this song opens up, it is very effective and draws you in straight away. I like your use of chords especially at 1.19 B Minor. It has been very well arranged and engineered and it has a very strong hook
Nice tune and vocals
Really nice play with your vocals it is always good in my book to give a surprise in a vocal it makes you lift an eyebrow when that surprise grabs you makes the song special. I liked the sound of your guitar, sounded like maybe some reverb on the guitar? I don't know if I have ever noticed before on any guitar in a song before well done. I liked your build up through the song to the end....
Great Track. The production on the vocal is actually top notch. I'd say for everything but the vocal, production wise, boost the snare by taking out the low and then replace that low on the bass line. Compress all sounds and try and make that amazing guitar solo more dynamic. Overall, i really like this track.
Well written song, lyrically and musically.I enjoyed it.
