I loved the idea of being blank-hearted, because being broken-hearted is no fun. A clean slate, no scars from ex's who hadn't thought about me in months. I prayed to get to that place where no one was on my mind, occupying my thoughts and disappointing me.

This person had struggles with relationships that kept repeating themselves, as she found herself attracted to the same sort of guy who was bad for her over and over. When she finally figured out that she didn't have to be ruled by these feelings for people who didn't feel the same way, she had overcome her own self-defeating behavior and had an epiphany that she had found her Happy Place.
