Story Behind The Song
The instrumental portion of this song was written over 15 years ago by Paul Haga (during college). It was only until recently that the band adapted it and wrote lyrics. The lyrics are actually surrounding the relationship issues that Paul experienced with his now wife while spending time in the studio and away from her and letting their relationship through a roller coaster of emotions.
Song Description
An old song idea with new lyrics and special meaning to the band and to Paul specifically who had several relationship issues while in the studio recording.
This song was released on the band's 2nd EP in 2013 called "Music is the Weapon of the Future".

Lyrics
treading water in this sea - ain't a crash course in misery - these times, this life - my mind they keep on fighting - in your eyes there's light? - though we might be losing ground - it won't bring us down - waiting, writhing - the waves deciding - lost and searching - night skies still guiding - in your eyes there's light - though we might be losing ground - it won't bring us down - day breaks into new lands? - moments discovered - calm winds new sands - of time to recover - in your eyes - theirs still light - burning all the while - in your eyes - there's light - though we might be losing ground - in your eyes there's light - although we were losing ground - it's not breaking down
