Story Behind The Song
This song was written during the height of the "war on terror" where questions of faith, religion, and fanaticism weighed heavily on me. While in a really obvious sense it is an acceptance of doubt (in God, religion, etc.) I think the chorusses evoke a powerful undercurrent of yearning for faith and guidance.

Lyrics
I made peace with you
The other day
And lay down beside me
I can die now unafraid
Faithfully questioning
No God or Heaven
I made peace with you
My in-betweens
Divided evenly
I guess I'll never know for sure
Best to ready for the worst
No God or Heaven
I'm trying
There's the timer
Won't you stick around
For another
Another round
I made peace with you
My normalcy
And a lifetime left hanging
I pray you get what you deserve
And all that we could not return
As sons and daughters
In time all will fade away
Snow covering the mess we've made
Of God and Heaven
There's the timer
I'm trying
Won't you stick around
For another
Another round
