Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song while sitting next to a lake in the Twin Cities one spring afternoon. I wanted to think about the upcoming time in my life and list the sort of personality traits and habits that I wanted to rid myself of.
Song Description
This is a conceptual sort of piece of music. The essence is trying to capture the feeling of the month of spring. The song reflects upon ideas about oneself and what to change in the upcoming year. The song begins very softly and adds more volume until the theme of the song is introduced with guitars, violins and piano. The song builds to a climactic section where the vocals proclaim, "No More Waiting..." over and over. This song has an usual structure in that it does not adhere to the usual verse/chorus model of songwriting.

Lyrics
Its awful windy north of the cities.
The sun is back now, it's still early.
I'm nervous, I think I'm changing.
No more judging, I'm not a cynic.
No more waiting, no more waiting here.
No more frowning, it speeds the aging.
Please find me, this game of waiting.
I keep driving, but always hoping that spring is patient, yet always changing.
You know it's deceptive to tell if it's spring or fall.
I wonder if the lakes even care at all.
You know it's deceptive to tell if it's spring or fall, hmm.
I wonder if the lakes even care at all.
No more waiting.
