Song Description
When I wrote More, I was facing a lot of life challenges. I had recently finished chemotherapy, returned to work and was trying to reacclimate into the world. Through cancer treatments, you have to segregate yourself from people due to a weakened immune system. On top of social challenges, my family and I were recovering from the financial hardships that extended illness can bring. I did my best throughout the experience to focus on brighter days in the future.
This song was written while imagining flowers blooming through the ashes. It's optimistic, joyful and inspiring.

Lyrics
Verse 1:
Found my inner strength
In the rubble left behind
Ashes on the roots
Of flowers over time
Watch them grow
Sometimes I fear that I'm
Born too soon to find
Value in the present,
All I know is that I'm trying
Chorus:
To be more
Than grateful
For exactly who I am
Because I always knew I'd stand
For more
There's always more
Verse 2:
So many causes
Not enough effects
Emotions lost in text
Bounced too many checks
Before deposit
No one is flawless
And I've made my own mistakes
But I learned along the way
Chorus:
To be more
Than grateful
For exactly who I am
Because I always knew I'd stand
For more
There's always more
Rap Bridge:
Seconds turn into minutes
And minutes turn into years
Factoring in your strength
Alleviating your fears
More smiles and less tears
I try to run more miles and drink less beers
I'm thankful for every lesson
Raise a glass and cheers
I'm in gratitude because I'm still here
So I gotta be more
Chorus:
To be more
Than grateful
For exactly who I am
Because I always knew I'd stand
For more
There's always more
