Story Behind The Song
I've always been a fan of Santana's guitar playing and tone. I think my co-writer John said let's write and record something like Santana, as a keyboard player he loves the early era stuff with Greg Rolle. Being the 90's kid that I am, the lyrical theme was inspired by the late 90's early 2000's era from tunes like "The Game of Love" and "Smooth".
Song Description
This song is a hybrid pop/rock tune with latin influence. It's got lots of electric guitar in the style of Carlos Santana. My partner's and I are doing our best to do our version of something off Supernatural from the late 90's. Lyrically it's about a love that seems so close at times but illusive at others, playing tricks on the mind and the heart.

Lyrics
Hot night in the city,
Through the haze there's someone pretty
But I can't believe my eyes because
Maybe she's only a mirage
She moves and calls out my name
When I get closer she fades away
But I can't believe my eyes because
Maybe she's only a mirage
It's romantic sabotage
Maybe she's only a mirage
But I can't believe my eyes because
Maybe she's only a mirage
It's romantic sabotage
Maybe she's only a mirage
