Story Behind The Song
The idea for the song came out of remembering my earliest tour experiences when I was a college kid. Along with sleeping on couches and floors, barely making gas money and long drives in a minivan, there were two folks from other acts I traveled with that got together and there was a bit of an age difference between them. I don't really know what happened to them in real life but I created a possible narrative for the things that may or may not have transpired in their relationship.
Song Description
This an acoustic folk/pop song, very laid back and mellow even. It's lyrics are reflective and are cautionary about a couple that probably had no business staying together for long and one of them knows and they pretty sure the other knows it too.

Lyrics
Magnolia Belle, I thought I knew you well
Everyone said you were too young for this
Sweet as wine, plucked you right off the vine
And sealed it with a kiss
So, leave me be this ain't right you'll see
Love I'm giving you fair warning
It ain't near enough and this kind of love
Fades into the morning
Now I'm compromised and even scandalized
Another promise, you don't intend to keep
See word gets 'round in a sleepy town
And I can't afford to hear you talk so cheap
So, leave me be this ain't right you'll see
Love I'm giving you fair warning
It ain't near enough and this kind of love
Fades into the morning
Dry your own tears baby
Won't let you drive me crazy but I want to, yeah I want to
Waste here another night I know you're killing time here too
Don't you
So, leave me be this ain't right you'll see
Love I'm giving you fair warning
It ain't near enough and this kind of love
Fades into the morning
Into the morning, Into the morning,
Into the morning, right
