I know subject matter of "being burned before but still hopeful and optimistic" is pretty well covered but I was looking to find a fresh and clever way to say those things. Whether it's love and relationships, career or anything in life, everybody has been there, felt that way, and can relate to that experience of reaching and striving for something better, something more.

This is a relaxing, calm and mellow bluesy/r&b pop song on the adult contemporary side of the things. It features blues guitar, bass, wurlitzer electric piano and B3 organ set to a 6/8 drum beat to capture those stylistic vibes. Lyrically it's about reflecting on being let down in the past by love yet remaining hopeful that the next chance will be different.
