Story Behind The Song
I can't quite remember what or who initially sparked it, but my co-writers and I had either gotten a prompt or just felt the urge to write and record a tune with that retro 60's feel and vibe. Our mission became to compose a tune that could've been played on old shows like Shindig or American Bandstand. I tried my best to keep the lyrical content appropriate to the pop love songs of the era.
Song Description
This is a retro style pop song with musical influence from the early and mid 60's. Would sort of put you in the mind of the Spencer Davis Group (Steve Winwood) or The Young Rascals and more. Lyrically it's about being madly in love with somebody and just being completely on cloud nine about it.
