Jon is a Chicago-based musician, composer, audio engineer, and sound designer.
Jon is a lifelong musician and fan of music, picking up piano at the age of 4 and guitar at 10, and has over 10 years of audio engineering experience ranging from live theater and performance sound to production and post-production for music, television, and film. Jon also records and performs electroacoustifolkpop music under the alias XYZR_KX and as one half of Jon and Carly.

An experiment turned duo, Jon and Carly is the product of Chicago's Jon Monteverde and Carly Oishi. Their sound ranges from indie folk/pop to down tempo electronic. Their first full-length, "Unexpected," is complete and slated for release in late 2009.
