Joe has a way of creating mind sticking marriages of music and words not easily categorized.
Mined from his earlier life in the American Midwest all the way to his self imposed exile on
the volcanoes of Hawaii, his songs are drawn from things that are close to us all.
Family, friends, lost and found love, distance, togetherness, or just plain fun.

Livin' the good life.
With the first plunk of his parents piano at age 3, and the strum of his first
six string soon thereafter, Joe LaMore had the music in him.
Inheriting his big brother’s Montgomery Ward Airline Acoustic guitar only
sealed the deal. His ability to sing, write, and play just about any other instrument is clearly
the icing on this songwriters cake.

Mined from his earlier life in the American Midwest all the way to his self imposed exile on
the volcanoes of Hawaii, his songs are drawn from things that are close to us all.
Family, friends, lost and found love, distance, togetherness, or just plain fun.
Taking inspiration everywhere from the Beatles to Bob Marley, from the Eagles to the Samples,
Joe writes songs that can tie up the loose ends of love and longing, such as the song “Sea of Dreams”,
whose chorus makes us realize we are all looking for a love which won’t forsake us;
That we are all navigating within the wind of our own personal “sea of dreams”.
On a similar side of the coin is the relaxed “Ghost of a Chance”, which captures the better
parts of a young Don Henley, or the sharpest pen of Jules Shear on the lovely tune “A Wish for You”.
Joe’s songs are not all sugar and spice. This world can’t exist without a few snakes and snails,
as in the song “Bend”, which gently pokes you in the brain with the chorus
“Perception bends like a tree in the wind. I walk a circle back to where I begin.
Rain is falling in my soul again. I bend with the wind”.
A song means very little without just the right pairing of words to music;
just the right syllable or word matched to the necessary chord or note.
Joe has the unique ability to do just that in every song he crafts.
A song should grab not just your ears, but your memory.
He writes music which not only sticks in your mind, but also hits you in the heart.
After you’ve listened to the music of Joe LaMore, you tend to believe you’ve heard
not just one more song, but something of greater depth. Of deeper design.
Something personal, just for you.
Listen for yourself and you’ll listen again.
Share it with others and good things will happen.
