Hailing from southern Maine, the members of gocasual had played together in various groups during high school until the band finally coalesced into its present form in 2001. During the fall of 2002, gocasual recorded its first album, a self-titled 8-song CD. Released in the winter of 2003, the disc slowly gathered a loyal fan base for the band. With live shows full of contagious energy, gocasual continues to grow.

However, with members attending different colleges across New England, the band struggled with the conflicting schedules of its five-piece lineup. This relegated time spent playing to weekends and school vacations, making it difficult to maintain a steady momentum. Now three years since recording their debut album, the members of gocasual have graduated from college and are more than ready to put out an action-packed sequel. The time has finally come.

For this album, gocasual recruited the highly capable and locally renowned Jonathan Wyman to record, mix, and produce it. Following Wyman’s work, Grammy Award-winning Adam Ayan of Gateway Mastering in Portland, ME subsequently mastered the CD.
The seven highly invigorating songs of 'The Whole Time I Knew You' convey the growth and progression of gocasual, both lyrically and musically. Songs such as ‘Baby, You’re Bad News’ and ‘More Regrets, Please’ chronicle the tale of failing relationships, the kind that are doomed from the start. On other tracks, ‘Honesty is the Worst Policy’ and ‘I’m Only Good for One Kind of Fun,’ vocalist Mike Larrabee laments a seemingly self-inflicted downward spiral of social conduct with crooning lines, such as “The only medication left is amputation,” and “I wish I could be decent for once.”
Combining musical maturity, a unique melodic style, and raw punk rock aggression, ‘The Whole Time I Knew You’ reflects the growth of one of southern Maine’s favorite rock bands. With a genuine love for playing that is reflected in their upbeat songs and compelling live shows, gocasual's sophomore release is sure to inspire more fans to tune in. ‘The Whole Time I Knew You’ hits stores in May of 2006.
