Born; Toledo, Ohio High School; New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. Graduated Frankfurt American High School, Frankfurt, Germany. College: the University Of Toledo, Toledo Ohio. Major: Music Education College organizations include; marching band, choir, jazz band. Instruments are Alto and soprano sax, percussion, keyboards, and vocals. Experience: 48 years professionally. First instrument drums, percussion then sax and keyboards. Played 7 years on the road. Different countries like Germany and Saudi Arabia. Now residing in Japan for 34 years. Performing Producing, Writing and Arranging. Formed a company called GSH Project. Made a recording studio and started teaching music. Both singing and instrumental lessons. My future goals are to write movie soundtracks and documentaries. I have recorded 6 original CDs; and have produced 35 others. オハイオ州トレド生まれ。幼いころより音楽に親しむ。ドラム、パーカッション演奏、コーラスグループでの歌唱に始まり、後オハイオからニューオリンズへと移り住んでサックスとピアノを学ぶ。有名な New Orleans Center for Creative Arts に入学し、ウィントン・マルサリス と ブランフォード・マルサリス の父である エリス・マルサリス に師事。マルサリス兄弟ともセッションを重ねる。
ニューオリンズを去ってドイツのフランクフルトへ留学した Gary は、バンド "JUST US" のツアーに参加し、プロとして本格的に活動を開始。その同じ年、ドイツで高校を卒業。オハイオへ戻りトレド大学に入学。トレド大学では音楽教育を専攻し、マーチングバンド、ジャズバンド等、様々なジャンルにわたって演奏したが、サックスのみならず次第にヴォーカルにも傾倒していった。大学卒業後、全米を巡る演奏ツアーを開始。
現在は日本に居住し、G.S.H スタジオ を所有・経営する傍ら、コンサート、結婚式、パーティーなどでのライブパフォーマンスも行っている。TVドキュメンタリー音楽、映画音楽を手がけることを目標に精力的に活動中。
