Anita Tillman
Gifted vocalist and songwriter Anita Tillman releases her debut album, My Time My Season.
The Pittsburgh-based singer's music has for many years touched the lives of thousands as it spreads the word of Jesus Christ and celebrates the glory of God. Her message is complimented by Anita's uniquely soulful voice and extraordinary songwriting talent.
Her eclectic sound has received significant critical endorsement. IndiePro.com said of her: "Anita has a unique and soulful vocal quality, and delivers her songs with passion and sincerity. She commands a musical style of her own, which incorporates gospel, urban and jazz. Each song is filled with lyrics which inspire hope and faith throughout."
Anita's music knows boundaries, ranging from gospel jazz to urban gospel, yet always infused with the spirit of worship and praise. In the past she has sung with the NAACP Pittsburgh Choir, Spirit Filled Music Ministries, and Kerux. She has opened shows for the likes of Darrell Coley, Vickie Winans and Yolanda Adams, and sung backing vocals for Karen Clark-Sheard and Kim Burrell.
Born and raised in the church, Anita was blessed at an early age with a remarkable vocal ability. Her father, a Pastor and her mother, an Evangelist, recognized her God-given talent and nurtured her gifts.
Her talents don't end with music: Anita is a graduate of Robert Morris University, with a BSBA in Accounting and a minor in Computer Information Systems.
Today Anita holds several positions within the church, including Minister of Music in her home church in Pittsburgh where every Sunday morning she leads praise and worship. She also frequently hosts workshops, seminars and special programmes and is an anointed teacher and speaker.
Anita is a devoted wife to her husband and the proud and loving mother of her son.
The release of the very special My Time My Season promises to expose Anita's sublime musical talents to the world as well as spread the word of Jesus Christ. She says herself: "I would love to be able to minister the message of hope and the love of Christ throughout the world. I really want each song to touch the hearts and minds of God's people and those who feel that there is no hope to see that God can do anything."
