Dave Matheson ("El Colorado") is a singer/songwriter who has been performing and writing music for over 40 years. Having been born and raised in South America (Peru and Colombia), Dave was exposed to a wide variety of music and culture. Early years were spent in rock bands performing at school and private functions and around the club circuit in Bogota, Colombia. One of those bands was featured on a local TV show.

Since moving to North America, Dave has continued to develop his style including developing a better appreciation for vocal harmonies and the wide variety of music genres available. Influences include folk, blues, rock, jazz and a little Latin and Spanish rhythms thrown in for good measure. Add in life experiences and you'll find a unique blend of interesting lyrics, music and general joie de vivre. Enjoy!
