Rae: just tripped across your song list and been listenin' for almost an hour. You've a pretty good way with words! Keep it up and best wishes.
Many thanks Tom. Nobody but my wife and a few captive audiences have ever done that to my knowledge! Checked out your site and listened to all, not a get even thing at all, I really enjoyed them. Thanks for getting me back to Broadjam been away for a while. Rae
Great stuff, Rae!
Thanks for the comment Elly. Can always use an upper.
Thanks for your review of "Somewhere between". Home demo, my vocal, It's real. Listened to "Tomorrow Tonight" nice!
Hey Rae- Wow! Thanks for the kind review of "Do Whatcha' Gotta Do". Agree on high harmony. I said the same thing! Always appreciate your comments. Mike
Ken. Thank you for your review of Christmas Rock'n'Roll. You're quite right that the song isn't exactly breaking new ground. It was written and recorded to give the listener a nostalgic ambience of Christmas and the production was made with a deliberate 1970s feel. Regards. David
Thanks Ken for the review of "All Night Movie". It's one of my home studioefforts .You will find some pro demos on my site.
Rae- Yep, he does nice demos. But I was most impressed with YOUR song! Mike

Thank you for the gracious review of " No Forgiveness ". I would be surprised if your album didn't go very well. I like your music. lkb
Thanks for the connection Elly, listened to "Don't Wait", beautiful, your vocal takes me back to a great time in my life. Rae
Thanks for the listen, Rae. Your music reminds me a bit of John Prine and that's a big compliment!! ~Elly
You must have played "Being There". John and I both lost out to father time. Rae
Thank you for your comments Alan. There is an NSAI songwriter's group in Lincoln, NE that I used to belong to (long trip for me these days) don't know if you consider that too far but it's the only one I am aware of. Know Council Bluffs pretty well since I was born in Omaha. Nice to hear from you. Rae Delete Comment
Rae, thank you for the insightful review. You're thinking about the lyrics are dead on. They need work. I want the piece to be a positive call to arms so to speak. I've been reworking and rethinking the lyrics and if I come up with something I'm going to have the vocal artist re-sing them. This song has a limited appeal, but as you probabaly know, when you get something in your head you have to go with it. I'm excited too to hear from another songwriter so close to where I live in Council Bluffs. I was a NSAI member for two years when we lived in Sioux City, however, since we moved haven't had much of a chance to get with other writers. Perhaps you know of a group of song writers around here who get together to share ideas. Best to you Alan

Thanks for your review of and comment on "The Palace". R. Welch
MY PLEASURE. LOU
Rae. Thank you for your thorough and considered review of 'All of This and More. I agree there are arrangement issues with the song. I tried to keep the production simple, something like a country/folk ballad, but that hasn't quite worked. With hindsight it's more of a power ballad I think. Lyrically I'm happy with it though. It's a delibarate use of irony. Once again many thanks. David
Hope I made some sense James. The song had possibilities, worth the extra time. I go through this all the time. The rewrite is certainly a big part of songwriting. Rae
You're welcome, most deserved. Rae
Much appreciate your kind words you are inspirational.

Hi Claire, I was just about to download a few songs when I noticed you had just done the same. Just heard "I Never Asked", wonderful as usual!
Thanks so much. I haven't been on Broadjam lately but I'm trying to get back. Hope you're doing well. Claire
I haven't either Claire. Makes it ever more strange that I just uploaded a new song called "I Never Asked For That"! Go figure.
LOL!
Hope that's not a critique after a listen.
Ulanoff/Hopkins, great team! "When You Come Back", very nice, makes my top list.
Mornin' Claire, just listened to "Disarray", well done as usual, hope all is well. In my book you are one of the top writers on this site. CR Welch
Hi - looks like the website has changed since I was on here last! Thanks so much for your comment about "In Disarray". It's been getting a lot of attention lately so, fingers crossed :-)
Site has changed considerably, I like it. Added "Disarray" to my top songs list. Just writing to that title is a daunting challenge. Kudos, and good luck!
One more time, thanks for the nice comments and review of "Someone's Waiting". Did listen to your poem"America" good stuff. CR
Nadia, thank you for your very nice review of "Someone's Waiting". Beaird Music Group in Nashville performed this one and several others of mine. They do a great job. Thanks again, CR Welch
