You have some wonderful songs here Johnny! :)
Hi Melsi, thanks for your kind comments about my songs. I've been listening to a few of yours - 'inhale life, 'no more chances' and 'way you loved me'. All are good but i like 'no more chances' the best. I see you describe yourself as a lyricist - do you also write the music? Or do you collaborate? Personally I find lyrics the hardest part of song writing. thanks again Johnny
by the way I should have said 'you loved my way' - not 'way you loved me' - that's the title of one of my songs - got a bit muddled.
Hi Melsi, thanks for your review of my song 'We Were Soldiers'. I'm glad you liked it. You're right I should probably remix it with the vocals a bit louder Johnny

Hey there Johnny Thanks for taking the time to review Joy to Be a Mother. I wrote that a LONG time ago. Even before I became a mother. I wrote it as a baby shower present for a friend. But it came true when I had my daughter and son. Now our kids are grown up, married and have kids of their own. So I guess I need to write a new song: What a joy to be a grandmother, right? God bless you over there in Liverpool! Mrs. Kate in Florida
Hi Paul, thanks for your very thorough review of my song 'we were soldiers'. It's much appreciated and very useful. Johnny
Hi Delta, thanks for your review of my song 'we were soldiers'. It's much appreciated. I did do vocals and backing vocals. The back up instrument is a banjo - I should probably remix the song. Thanks again Johnny

Hey Johnny I just reviewed one of your songs, I enjoyed it, and my last review I got was from you I had meant to say Hey and thank you for being kind. I did chuckle when you thought the song could have been just a wee bit shorter. Well because I sing stories maybe you won't get a song I am working on that I took from 26 verses to 16 what a job that was and to do it and have it make sense in a good story line was not easy but it was fun. I love all the old ballads. Well keep the music coming.......Best regards.......Delta
HI Johnny, Thanks for the kind review of my song, "Waving Prairie". It won the "Best Folk Song Contest" a couple years ago at Broadjam. It was recorded back in 1972 in San Francisco at Wally Heider's studios. It is also the title tune to my second album, "Waving Prairie". Stop by and listen to more tunes, if you are so inclined. Best, Chet Nichols

Hello there Johnny in Liverpool. thanks for taking the time to review Faithful Servant. So glad you enjoyed it. God bless you! Mrs. Kate www.MrsKate.com trying to be a faithful servant!
Hi Terese, I've just listened to 'a girl and her soldier'. I love the fact that it is a duet - it's a great song giving both sides of the story. You both have great voices. By the way I also listened to 'wishes' and 'my best friend' - both of which are also great songs, especially the heartfelt lyrics. Johnny
Hi Johnnie, this is an amazing song with strong lyrics! I can relate, I am an army wife and my husband did two tours of Iraq. I wrote a song about it called A Girl and Her Soldier if you feel like having a listen. Your song feels like it might be more about the World War 2 era, but war is war unfortunately and we can't seem to escape it. Great job!! :-)
Dear Johnnie Armstrong; Thank you for your kind review of my song Slipping Away. I am listening to "For You"--and I really like the arrangement.Best regards, Susan Nikas
Hi everyone. In response to the encouraging reviews I've had which have often advised adding more instruments I've uploaded a new version of We Were Soldiers. This has banjo/harmonica as well as the original ukulele. I would be very grateful for any comments re this new version Johnny
Thanks Johnny...the ending of As the Sand Moves Through the Glass is for the extended CD version...I agree with your observation as a single song effort. Thank you!!! Peace, Robert
