What I've Been Up To
I have been writing and performing for 48 years.
Opened the Main Stage show for Easton Corbin and Toby Keith at COUNTRY USA in Oshkosh in 2014. Also played a show with John Michael Montgomery in Riverside, Iowa. Big crowd and big fun!
I've been with probably a dozen bands, and played in innumerable live music venues that include most of the small town honky tonks within 300 miles, the Dane County Memorial Coliseum, the historic Majestic Theater in Madison, WI, various bars all over Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota and the Dakotas, and several summers back the Moondance Jammin' Country Fest in Walker, MN, sharing that venue with Martina McBride, Neil McCoy, Sammy Kershaw, Kellie Pickler, Miranda Lambert, and others. Played the Cadott Country Fest side-stage, sharing the bill with Florida Georgia Line, Brad Paisley and many others.
I like all kinds of music, but I prefer memorable, hummable melodies. I've written many songs over the years. "Could It Only Feel Like Christmas", based on my small-town upbringing, received an "Honorable Mention" award in the Song of the Year Contest, a worldwide online songwriting competition featuring 10 categories. I have to say it's my personal favorite here.
I like all genres of music and dabble in various areas when writing.
I hope you like my songs, and thanks so much for listening!
