hey Vince, congrats on the country pick up, best of luck--they only listened to mine 5 times, so i must have been a close 56th!! LOL...xoxo Warren Hein
Thanks Warren. With 5 listens you must have been in the running!
Vince Constantino is a prolific composer as well as pianist evidenced by this track from his Broadjam catalog. http://www.broadjam.com/artists/songs.php?artistID=20166&mediaID=156217 1
Thanks Peter--happy new year!
Like a running machine
vince wanted to say thanks for the referral to crucial and tavne a few years back. They were brutal with the selection process but the songs they signed have done well for licensing! Thanks again Steve
Glad to hear it, Steve!
"Girl from Sao Paulo"....gorgeous! It just didn't last long enough; tell me there's more?! Nice work Vince!
Thank you Cyndi! I recorded a several latin jazz instrumentals (it was a phase) a few years back, so there are probably others that are not visible here. I'll include a link below. Each is pretty short, as they were intended for TV/Film background instrumentals. "Girl..." was a special one, probably my fave; it was placed on the 2nd to last episode of "Breaking Bad", so it's been a productive one as well! I'm currently in Australia on a songwriting trip; when I get a better internet connection I'll visit your page to listen to your songs. Here's a collection of other latin jazz instrumentals, if you'd like to listen: http://www.broadjam.com/transmit/index.php?id=6238qzqy 1 1 Thanks again for your nice note! Vince
Thanks Vince for the link! Really tasty, dreamy Latin Jazz, as well as more traditional Latin pieces. Very nice indeed!
We finally got a song done by a demo studio and I would love to have your opinion on how it turned out. Thank you!!
Sounds great Pat (and Joy), congrats!
hey, Joy. check the time length you logged in for the track cuz the player stops at 3:15 while the song isn't quite finished.
Congratulations on the "Rainy Day" submission. They listened to Pat's twice but didn't pick it - we really need to get some better quality recordings...we're having success with the newer ones - so happy to see your continued success - Joy Flanakin
Thanks Joy. If you'd like, I'd be happy to listen to Pat's submission and give feedback on the recording.
You are terrific - here's the link to "Rain On Me" - a very old recording... http://www.broadjam.com/transmit/index.php?id=1814zeki 1
I like the song, Joy, and Pat did a good job with the guitar and vocal performance. I think there are some elements that might keep it from being used. First, music supers usually don't like sound effects (the rain, in this case)--they'd put that in themselves if they want it. Second, for a song with solo guitar (even with vocal), they'd probably want a fuller guitar sound...more bottom end. My experience is when acoustic guitar is part of the mix, the low end is typically filtered out (and high end often boosted), but when it is the only instrument, usually the sound of the instrument is full and rich, with plenty of bass. Hope this helps!
Thank you so much! - I'll make sure Pat sees this tonight.
Thanks for all your thoughts about our Char Vince... She will be subject for song and video as she is totally imprinted in our minds and hearts...
Can't wait to see/hear!
Thanks and hope all is well your way, Pen
Dearest Penny and Dennis, so sorry for the loss of beautiful Char. Her cooing into the phone was music to my ears. She will always be part of Ross and my life. RIP dear angel Char xoxo, Felice
Thank you Felice for writing and good talking to you. It's been a sad day..Many years of loving my Char,I still can't quite believe that she's gone...We were lucky to have her for all this time though and she's always in my heart..Love to you and Ross xoxoxox
So sorry to hear about your great loss Penny , no words can take away the pain but I hope you can take comfort in knowing that you've had some beautiful times with Char , take care , Marie xxx.
Sorry for your loss, Penny--just hearing about this now. I know how much Char meant to you. Could there be a memorial song?
Thank you Felice, Marie and Vince. Ironically Vince a guitarist friend I just started working with to perform out in a duo was very enchanted by Char. He said the other day her coo is so beautiful, I said "Charlotte Lee sings like a bird"...He sat down with his guitar and a lovely melody came out to those words , then I sang the second line "I melody that I've never heard" so we have been working on this song just recently. Now that Char is gone we will finish it and that will help.Because as we all know music can be so healing..There are some other little songs and videos of Char that later I will point out. Thank you again and I will be away for a few days so to all that knew of my sweet Char, thanks for your thoughts and words. xoxox
sending many Blessings of Peace to the house of Char. . .
Oh Penny, I am so sorry to hear about Char. I know she will be missed by many. Don't forget to open a window so her soul may continue it's journey. Love, Hank
I look forward to hearing the Char song and/or viewing the video!
Thanks Vince, I know you understand what she has meant to us here... Thankful for all the pictures we have of her. Many videos too though I am not quite ready to look at them just yet. I am sure that there will be more than one Char song coming with a little time and a video or two too. Thanks again for thinking of us here... Like all beloved pets ,she was special... Love, Pen
Well, I swore I wouldn't put myself thru this again - but I submitted some of Pat's songs to the 6 Pack and they're in 3 positions on the top 20 (I'm sure that will change!) - are you going to submit to this year's 6 Pack?? - Joy Flanakin
Hi Joy, thanks for the note. Congrats on the success so far with Pat's songs--hope it holds! I probably won't submit this year; feel like I've won some great prizes in the previous two rounds and should give others a chance (not that I'd automatically do well, though)!
You would automatically do well - what a kind gesture - I'm a big fan of yours - both of your music and your kindness - I'll continue to look out for posts of your new songs which I know I'll really enjoy. We'll see how the 6 Pack goes this year - it's an addiction like gambling to me!!!
That was from me - Joy - Pat echoes much of what I said....
Hi Vince, Beautiful performance of "You Raise Me Up" truly comforting, healing and inspiring...x
Thanks for listening and commenting, Pen. Trying to send strength to my buddy!
I think you are Vince...And to others as well...Again simply beautiful.
Dulcie Taylor, Broadjam 2011 6-Pack Winner, is #1 on the Amazon Alt-Country & America charts. Below her on the chart is Townes Van Zandt, K.D. Lang, Cowboy Junkies, Gillian Welch to name a few. She is a very gifted writer who creates from the heart. I have heard this record and play it regularly. Congrats to her as she is very deserving. Here is the link to the chart. Check it out. http://www.amazon.com/gp/top-rated/music/63687 1
Go Dulcie!

Vince, Flip Flops very cool song In under 3 mins!, well done you
Thanks Earl! I wanted to write a summer anthem and it was fun to work on. Listening and enjoying "Slow Down" now--like the blend of old school and electronica.
HEY VINNIE WHATS UP ? NICE TO SEE YA AT THE CALIFORNIA BROADJAM. DID YOU HEAR ANYTHING ? LOU
Ciao, Luigi, great to finally meet you in person. Haven't heard anything yet. V>
Annie, congrats on the pub deal with Rex Benson for "Think Again"!
Beautiful words in abandoned boardwalk. I have a song about Exit 82 myself (called Exit 82 ;0) ! I really appreciate great lyrics.
Thanks so much, Susan! "Old Abandoned Boardwalk" was a co-write with Rob George--most of the lyric came from his talented brain; I tweaked here and there and wrote/produced/played the music. Listening to Exit 82 now...what a fun story song! Felt like I was there (and you made me wish it were summer now). Exit 82--that must be Seaside Heights, right? I see the boardwalk/arcade reference too.
Oh Thanks Vince :) Yes Seaside Heights. I write with young developing artists a lot so I did the words and Kristina who was fourteen did the melody. She wanted a song about cutting school- of course ;0) Franz Richards from Philadelphia did the track. But Kristina was proactive with that song- she came up with the musical hook and sound so I was proud of the little brat! ;0) Anyway, I wrote you initially b/c I enjoyed your song. So everybody check out "Old Abandoned Boardwalk!" Good luck with it!
You write with some very talented young artists Susan and I know you inspire them greatly! I love your song "Exit 82" !
Awwww! Thanks Penny! :)
OMG I love your stuff a lot ... I have been so pleasantly surprised at just how good some of the material on this website is... you are a very good writer..
Thank you, Randy! Yes, there's awesome material and talent here on Bjam--it's fun to explore around the Top 10 charts. V>
Congratulations on having had one or more of your songs "selected" from the pitch opportunities. I was wondering if you were ever contacted and if you feel that making pitches to Broadjam has been a good financial decision for you. Thank you, Donna donalarose@aol.com

THX - your contribution to HOC is nothing short of stellar!
V Congrats on "Pop" win at "Our Stage"! I know you're humble on these things. I was in the "Acoustic" contest so I just happened to notice you when checking the site. S

Wohoo! My song Ac Does He has made it through the considerations! It has been selected to be used on a sportschannel for compilations! (only 2 songs out of 11 considerations where selected) (I am dancing in my livingroom, showing my bestest dancing moves.... wich are not that good)

'TIL IT'S TIME TO GO HOME http://www.broadjam.com/player/player.php?play_file=10559_561767 1 COUNTRY ROCK YOUR SOCKS OFF! This song was so much fun to produce! I love Clint's vocal and lyric (green M&Ms-what!?). It will take you to high speed country rock school, so try to keep up, class. David Lauser on drums (Sammy Hagar) is amazing! I told him to give me the "stadium finish" at the end, and with a rather large grin, he accommodated. T-Bone on keys-all I can say is how-loh! Jimmy's guitar and Joe's fiddle-yeehaw! Engineered by Tom Luekens, this is the real deal, folks--not a computer in sight! Listen with those phones, and keep turning it up-you'll be glad you did. Enjoy!!
Had me dancing in my seat, great job Betsy!
Thanks, Vince!!

James, I'm listening now to "B in the B" as Bjam has posted a playlist of the winning songs from Can 2 of the 6-Pack. This is a really clever, well-written, -recorded and -performed song--congrats! Vince
