I'm diggin' the promo video. Can't wait to hear the EP!
Hey Jeff, there's no audio on your video... :)
BTW, I guess I had never heard Boom Boom Boom before. Great song!
Thanks for the info Diane. I need to find out what went wrong and how to fix that. I uploaded it with sound. I also found out the track that I uploaded of the tune actually is not the finished version as I know it. For some odd reason the MP# encoder I used stretched the song by an extra 15 seconds (and continues to stretch it every time I try to encode it with that program) The song is supposed to be more up tempo. You can even hear my voice going deeper. I need to upload the proper speed. How strange there seems to be a ghost in the machine.
Hey Jeff, For some reason our video encoder stripped the audio from your video. I've encoded a new version with audio and re-uploaded it. The updated video will still have to circulate to our servers but the version with sound will be available by this time tomorrow. If you have any other questions feel free to follow up, just send an email to customerservice@broadjam.com. Thanks! - Travis Broadjam Customer Support
Thanks Travis! That was really quick.
Great job on Roses For No Reason! The lyrics paint a vivid picture.
Thanks a lot Travis!
Congrats Buc!
Always great to see a good hometown artist!
Really enjoy "The Best of Me", wonderful song!
Hey Travis, Thanks so much for the comment! So glad you like my song! :) All the best, Melinda
Great arrangements! I really liked "Bluebird", it has a nice summery feel.
Great songs! The production quality is fantastic! I have to say my favorite is "King of Tennessee. Keep up the good work!
I really liked the video for "Musical Chairs", did a great job of capturing the era!
Thank you!!
Hi Travis ! how are you doing ? thanks for adding me , regards , Marie.
Hi Marie! I'm doing well. How about yourself?
Hi Travis ! good to hear from you , I'm doing well too , thanks.
Nice talking to you earlier. I checked out a few of your tracks, I really enjoyed "Fade to Black". It builds nicely and I love when the tympani comes in. Very eerie! - Travis
Thanks Travis. Always nice to hear poz stuff! "Eerie" was what I was going for!:) I've got to check some of your work - which track(s) would you recommend? Thanks again. Dean
It's been a long time since I've recorded anything, so I don't have anything on bjam yet. Hopefully soon :)
No worries, when you do - let me know so I can have a listen. Travis, forgive my poor memory, but at the outset of your comments, you said that "it was nice talking with me earlier", and I'm trying to recall....the ol' memory isn't what it used to be, so could you refresh my memory as to when we chatted? Thanks. Dean
I'm one of the customer service reps at Broadjam.
Hey Travis! I got it now. I used to live in Madison, how long you been? Why no recordings recently? Yes, I'm nosey and am prying into your personal life...LOL. Good to chat with you, and thanx again for the cudos.
Well I've been here for about 6 years. The awesome summer life is what keeps me here, always something going on. I haven't really written anything worth recording in a while but I'll get to it soon! How long ago did you move from Madison?
Indeed. I try to visit every summer, and manage to just about every year...I lived in Madison in the late 80's and early 90's - undergrad at UW. Butch Vig was in my electronic music class, and drove a cab back then...played in a band called Spooner, too, until he moved on to slightly bigger things:) But there's so much more to the city than UWM, it's a thriving, creative, active and progressive place - truly unique place, that never disappoints. I envy you, as places to live go...
That's pretty awesome. Our office actually moved across the street from where Smart Studio was located. The best part about Madison is you can see live music nearly every night of the week!
I dig the driving feel of "City Cash". Great track!
Emma, I really enjoyed "Destroy Me in an Instant". The hooks is really catchy. Keep up the good work!
Hi Travis! Thanks so much! I really appreciate it.
I'm running is a great track!
thx!
Barton Hallows remix... Tight.
Agreed.
@protilius @travisonfire thanks guys! Much respect on your tracks as well
Informal poll: What is your favorite song on Broadjam? List as many as you would like here by title and artist. Thanks for your help! Roy
Favorites (other than my own) not in any order: City: Three eyed Shmelts (and all their others) I wish I could Heal: Chet Nichols (and many more) Hotel Elevator: Tracy Scharf: Her voice gives me chills Paper Boat: Lynda Cullen: She is the Female Nick Drake All Pains: Avital Raz (and all her other beautiful work) Where did our time go?: Jim Pearson. Rising Star! I hope I have spelled all their names correctly. Second Question: Why are they your favorites? Answer: Because they write the songs I want to write (but since they have already done so, it saves me a lot of time and bother).
There's quite a few, but off the top of my head... -- "Epic" by The Lucas Cates Band -- "Disconnect" by Amy Powers -- "Athakabanda Theme" by Jim Reeder -- "Waiting For You" by Jackson Church -- "Cameraderie" by Timothy Reed
Nick, That's a great comment!.....What is that song you wish you wrote?....It certainly creates a different perspective. Roy
All of Jim Pearson's songs are the light side of my dark side. Jim and I are now Connected. BJ has been great for getting to know real musicians. I promise to re-invest all the money I make on BroadJam back into it! - Nick
Hi Roy,....well...I can't claim to have heard everything or everyone on Bjam......but first song and artist that sticks in my mind...Michael George Band....Here's to Love.... There's loads more.....I'll post later I hope.... All The Best Roy !...and Thanks for Everything !!!
There are some songs I've heard during review processes I really liked but, unfortunately, there's no way to know what they were. Maybe there should be some way to tag tracks and, after the review process closes for a given opportunity, reveal them to the reviewer...just a thought.
Here are some of my favs.: "The Black Dahlia" - Courtney Leigh Heins "Aeroplanes & Lemonade" - Cool Waters Band "If You Love Her" - Blueheels "Sarah" - Blake Thomas & The Downtown Brown
"Achin" by Madeline Speak has been a favorite of mine for a while.
It's hard to pick a favorite, but one I really enjoy is "Farewell to Nova Scotia" by Rising Gael
You guys should put "lethargic friend" back up for download.

"No sing?" is a really good song, I think the strings in the background fill it out nicely.
Really like the song, the beat is driving and full of energy. Keep up the good work:)
