Amanda- Silver Lining is a really powerful song. My wife struggles with Type 1, so I watch her struggle with it, so I think the fact that you are so involved with support groups is awesome! Nice work.
Amanda you music is so perfect what a voice I shall give it airplay during the radio station I am on in Cairns Australia CAIRNS FM 89.1
Thank you so much Tony! That means so much to me:)) Which song do you have in mind?
Whew! 3000 plays. I'm still on 300 =) Good Job girl! Mike
Robert, thanks so much for your generous review of my song "I'm Moving On!" It means a lot to me, especially coming from a musiscian like yourself. Cool tunes, btw - I really got into Ninth World!!
You're welcome, Amanda, but it wasn't generous, it was deserved. Great voice, great song with big artistic and commercial appeal. I see you're in Newport Beach. Brings back some memories. Even though I'm in Vermont now, I used to work in NB, and in those glorious days of summer, body surfed The Wedge (along with a million other people - all at the same time). Glad you liked Ninth World. Thanks for checking that out.
Good job girl. And don't worry, there will be plenty of heartbreak to go around. It really helps the songwriting. That's how Blues got started. Fun times ahead now! Keep at it. Mike
Thanks Matia, I feel ya! I never seem to write when I'm happy;) It takes heartbreak to inspire me haha!
Nice tune! Captures the dichotomy of dysfunctional attraction nicely...
Thank you! Nothing like living it to be able to sing about it:)
Amanda. Each day, you are New again, rising on the Ghost of your former self. Let Beauty live behind you. - N
Nick, thank you so much - you are so kind and clever;-) Congrats on the new group, and I LOVE the name!!! I wish the Lovepops all the best! Btw, last night I released a video for my little Ghost song... check it out on YouTube! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmNrUKXTOns 1
OMG, I'm leaving this backwoods, bovine, inbred, bucktooth, hillbilly state of Idaho. They've taken my license and thrown me in jail. I know when I'm not wanted. I think it's my long hair that sets them off. This is the head-noddin' crowd. I've been up and down this state for 7 years. The natives used to be pleasant until the mass influx of residents, now they have the 'indignant' spark that kills so many reputations of nice towns and states. I'm going to a familiar stomping ground in Northern California. Red Bluff(near Redding). Full of $h!t kickers there too, but at least they've seen long hair before. I'll die before i'm forced to wear a John Deere hat and chaw of tabacca'. So, I'm getting out now. Besides, do I really want to be known for potatoes? Like the Beach Boys sing, I wish they all could be California Girls.(and I got some friends there that can help me with my music!) Should leave in about two weeks. Wish me luck! Can't wait to get my cannibis medical card. Ha! Mike
Mike! We'd love to have you out in Cali man! Good luck on your big move :)
Ah Mike, your post literally made me laugh out loud! Not the taking your license and throwing you in jail part. Best of luck in Northern California - I've never been, but I heard it's beautiful there.
Thanks guys! I'm jonesing to get started tracking. have to go back up 300 miles north out of Boise to Moscow to get my gear and then 750 miles out to pure sunshine. I just need a place that I can shoot my mouth off at and because there's overcrowding in the jails there, I'm almost guaranteed early release!
A lot of luck and stay safe, my friend. Hope will hear some new bumpin' stuff from you soon. All the best, Manu.
Spent a long part of my childhood in Redding. I know Red Bluff. I'm sure you're well aware of the heat, right? I don't know how much of a cultural upgrade it is from Idaho...but it is California. Pretty redneck area. Watch out for methheads...unfortunately, it's rampant up there. Try to get down to the Bay Area if you really want to find musicians...them's just my two cents' worth. Good luck to you.
Thanks Manu/BSM, actually grew up in N. Cali up by Dunsmuir/Castella/Mt. Shasta and then Redding/Red Bluff. I'm a mountain kind of guy, but I have this area in my blood, so making stupid statements like "I'll never go back to that f$@&ing state again" were just dumb. I do like the Rodeo here. And I can be fairly partial to cowgirls. But it is a small town and you get that gossip and threats of ass whoopin's for talking smack here. I'm in with friends and getting settled so in a few months, i'll be able to edge out an area for a small studio and get back to the business of shred. As a pothead, I really don't mess around with anything else, but being as i'm federally regulated for class a driving this last 12 years... it's really put a cramp in my groove. That's the goverment for ya, always getting in the way of your fun. Oh well, gonna stay at home for awhile and get my Cannibis card(I wasn't kidding about that)... and enjoy life! Cheers, Mike
Welcome to Cali Mike! xo from a California girl:)
=)
Good job on 'Lost in the Fog' I see it got the TOP 10 it deserves! Keep workin' hard. Mike
Thank you so Mike, I'm so sorry for the tardy response to your comment, I just didn't see it somehow. I really appreciate the kindness though!!

Cobrats for "Lost In The Fog" moving into the Top Ten For Pop - Alternative. Nice work!!! Al & Di
Thank you!! Just spent some time listening and checking out your tunes - great stuff, so diverse and current! And awesome vocals from both of you:)
Thgank you for those kind words! Also, I really can spell (cograts!!!). But I have a neurological condition that makes it very, very difficult for me to type. Please bear with me on that! Will be listening to more of your music real soon. Looking forward to it! All the best...and congrats one again! Di & Al
Hi! Nice to "meet" you! We're new here...2nd day. Just listening and getting to know artists and their music. "Love Hate" is a great cut...we really en joyed our listen! Sweet! That was a super listen. Best of luck with your music. Di & Al
Thanks so much!! That song was a collaboration with a fantastic songwriter named Moses Toth. A great song makes everything fall into place!! Welcome to Broadjam - I've really enjoyed it here:)
Amanda, I noticed you're getting a lot of selections. We both got selected for ADULT CONTEMPORARLY- Publisher- Round 2. Hope they're chosen for the opportunities. Great going!
I noticed the same thing about you too! Congrats!! Fingers crossed for us:)
Yes, you deserve it more because you're a vocalist and performer. But I hope they get played. Much success to you always.
Sounds great and the lyrics and phrasing are amazing.
Thank you so much:) That means so much coming from you - checked out your profile and loved your music:)
Amanda, Congrats on making the Pop Rock Top 10 with Love Hate. Not an easy spot to win, but you deserve it! - Nick
Thanks so much Nick! I turned 18 last week, and when I look back on that song, there's so much I would change...but still, I'm so grateful for the response it continues to get and the top ten spot means so much to me:))
Ah, my Dear. 18 and full of Dreams! And already some realized! There are so many things we look back on and wish we could change, but we simply cannot change the past. Best we can do is attempt to learn from our mistakes at least by the 3rd time around. And embrace Love, because it is all that is left us. May you shine until 81! - N
Thoroughly enjoyed your songs, best of luck to you. ~Alan
Wow! Thanks for the comment, Alan, because I'm truly humbled by your awesome work. HAD to listen to "Without You" of course, and just a gorgeous song that could easily be on any country radio station. Just made my night:)
Just got a publishing deal on my song, Georgia - hurray!

Wow - thank you so much - really appreciate all of you...If I find the party - I'll definitely let you guys know!
I went to listen to your song but I couldn't find it. ??? Calvin
The publisher asked that I remove it from any websites - but I haven't given him the recording yet because I'm tweaking and mastering it (it's an old recording) - so I'll reactivate it on Broadjam. Like I said, it's an old recording... Thanks.
Congrats thats very good news.
Well done Pat !
Major achievement! Well done! enjoy.....
good job!
Can't tell you how much I appreciate all your comments - I see a lot of you have been selected for a lot of things - that's great - hope it's a great year for everyone!
Hello! I found you thanks to the little email that just went out explaining how to find artists in our local areas. I feel so lucky to have discovered such an inspiring artist hailing from my hometown:) Beautiful music, and vocals to aspire to...
wow, thanks! have a super day. :)r
REAL NICE, THATS A FIVE STAR, GOOD LUCK WITH ALL YOU DO. LOU PENTA { T.C.C. }
Congratulations on having had one or more of your songs "selected" from the pitch opportunities. I was wondering if you were ever contacted and if you feel that making pitches to Broadjam has been a good financial decision for you. Thank you, Donna donalarose@aol.com
DONNA: I'VE HAD THIRTY FIVE OR SO UNDER CONSIDERATION FOR RECORD DEALS, AND NONE RECORDED FROM HERE THAT I KNOW OF. LOU
Thanks, Lou! I appreciate your response.
WHY DID YOU SEE SOMETHING I DIDN'T ?
I've spent 100s of dollars on submissions and have rec'd no $ in return, so I wanted to do some research and decide whether to continue or not.
Hey Lou, not sure why but I only just now saw emails from BJ that I had rec'd a comment - sorry I didn't respond sooner... ANYWAY, thank you so much and I really appreciate that coming from you!! Donna, here's my response to you: my 2 cents worth is that a few of my submissions which were picked do seem to be legit and if they lead to sync, I won't know until I get a check from ASCAP. Another selection was from a music library wanting exclusive pub rights, which I was open to, but then when they contacted me, "they" were a producer and vocalist with a few songs of their own up on Myspace, and seemed to have had a placement in a TV series so I guess thought they'd try their hand at placing other artists' songs. I WAS NOT about to hand over my songs to them for a year!! I'm sure they enjoyed their portion of my submission fee however, as their outfit, judging by the caliber of their music production, web presence etc. did look like it could use a little funding...
THANKS, YOUR'E FUNNY. LOU
LITTLE LAMB ! PLEASE WRITE ME IN PRIVATE, WOULD LIKE TO TALK OF YOUR RECORDINGS. LOU { T.C.C. }
Hey, Mannis! Thanks so much for you kind and constructive thoughts on my song Starcrossed Heartbeat! You noted "cool concept" so I thought I'd share with you that it is purely autobiographical - one of those tmi songs haha! You mentioned the drum rolls - did you think that they were oddly placed? Btw I checked out some of your tunes here. Very cool, inspiring stuff! Is that your vocal on Baby Wear Your Black Boots? Gritty and awesome!
Hey there, thanks so much for your positive review of my song Starcrossed Heartbeat! I was interested upon reading that you'd like to hear more piano, since I wrote the song on piano and then shied away from featuring it on the recording... will have to address that in live performances:) Thanks again and love your style!!
Awesome music! I looooove Heart Breakout:)
Thank You so much!
without you--video--great stuff!--that fender guitar and guild guitar together are superb--you all looked great for the video shoot--and it was just super--i thought i was seeing LADY A for a minute--i was in nashville when LADY A made it big--banners everywhere--their picture was all over the music rags everywhere---keep at it--nothing ventured nothing gaineed--cheers--joe--------you gotta good thing going on.
Hey, thanks Joe!! I can't imagine a higher compliment than comparing us to that great trio!! My mom told me I looked a bit like Hillary Scott with my hair like that, so now I believe her!! Thanks for the encouragement, it means a lot coming from you:)
Amanda, I just saw today that your instrumental version of WITHOUT YOU was chosen by the cable company. Mine didn't get accepted. Much success. Isn't that great?
Thank you so much, Sylvia! It is so great! Have to find some sort of way to pay for this music addiction haha! Seems I submit so often and get rejected, I was about to stop, but I guess I should just keep plugging away at it:)
Yeah, you never know. It's a crazy business. I'm spending a lot, too, but I think it's worth it.
Me too:) One nice sync spot and it will all pay off, plus just the thrill of having your "song-baby" placed... can't stop trying!! Keep on keepin on, Sylvia!
Yeah, aned when I hear a good demo produced with my lyrics on it, I can't even explain the feeling; that you've worked with others to create a terrific work. And it only takes one song and one opportunity acceptance.
Nice to "meet" you Jason! Thanks for reaching out - I love your songs as well! You can probably tell that I tend to favor songs with a bit of moody dark undertones as well haha! Your songs are just lovely:) New fan here!
Thanks - hope all is well with the musical pursuits! Nice to connect...
Sylvia, thanks so much for your review of my song "Without You" :) I was simply stunned at the lovely comments and positive feedback, and then when I saw that you had reviewed it, that made it only more meaningful to me. I released the song today on itunes and also released a video for it today as well ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xi30WOJSmVs 1 ) if you're curious to see the awesome guys who created those amazing guitar sounds for me! xo
Yes, Amanda, I will go on you tube in a bit. It was my pleasure, great song. I wish you much success with it.
Just watched and listened to your song on youtube. You're beautiful. The video was well done. I enjoyed it. And you know, I love the song. Hope you do very well with it.
Really appreciate that:) I absolutely love harmonizing and doing duet-type stuff, so if this song does well I just may head in that direction:)
hey amanda, check out our sister broadjammer tracy newman some time--you california girls are pretty darn good country girls too--cheers--NJ.
Starstruck*!* She's done some pretty amazing things, NJ! I can only hope to have a list of accomplishments next to my name as that particular Cali girl... Thanks for letting me know:)
christmas in love--wow!--really nice--5 stars from me!------check out my /christmas blues/song sometime--it is a one of a kind unique thing--cheers--NJ.
Aw, gee Joe:) Thanks so much!! I did check it out - loved it, loved it, loved it... Would it give you the blues if I added a new car to that list as well?? Haha! Awesome song, so much fun:)
hey--i want a bently--ha ha!--nj
You have a really nice sound. Amazing voice and good ear. Did you play any of the instruments on these records by any chance? Keep doing what you love because it's obvious that your good at what you do. I would love to collaborate with you. Best of luck..
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind comments:) Sad to admit, but no I didn't add any instrumentation to the tracks - just vocals and background vocals. I do play the piano and guitar, but only as a means to an end, really - for writing songs haha! I try to stick to really high standards for production, and my skills don't live up to my own standards. Hopefully someday... Would like to collaborate also, but are you in Florida?
It's good that you have such high standards. That's what's going to take you far. It's also really good that you know when to step away. I guess sometimes i get carried away in trying to do everything myself. And yeah im in florida, but with the internet that shouldn't stop us from working together. I can't lie, i am really curious about how our voices would sound together.
Amanda, I finally got the chance to listen to one of your songs: Without You. I loved it. The melody and instruments and your voice. You know, you look a little like Taylor Swift and that's a compliment. Loved it. Continued Success.
Oh How funny! Just saw this comment, after reading the review you gave the song - again, thank you so much for those kind and generous comments! Wow, a girl could only hope to share a few of Taylor Swifts traits, so I do appreciate that:)
