you guys ever really listen to the lyrics that are used on the most popular rock songs out there? Most don't make sense or follow a story or even a patten. My advise is just throw out the lyrics and see what happens. 175 rhymes with alive, strive contrive, dive. there you go. "DONT TO THE 175, ITS A DIV ITS A DIVE. Just have some fun dude. BE STUPID AND HAVE SOME FUN.

one of my songs go as follows. KILL FOR THE KING BUT LETS NEVER REGRET. FUCK FOR PEACE BUT LETS NEVER FORGET. THE ROAD TO FREEDOM IS A BOX OF GRENADES. KILL FOR THE KING AND LETS ALL GO GET LAID. What? Are you kidding me? Worst lyrics of all time or so bad they are great? Who cares. Its art. Anything goes........

Hey Dave..... Thanks for the nice review if my song, "The Last Riders On Route 66". It is a song based on my novel with the same title. The song won The Grand Prize in The International Route 66 Theme Song Contest in 2002.
The story is a semi-autobiography of some of my hitch-hiking adventures back in the 1960's.

By the way, the song begins, "It was the Spring of '67/ When this story starts.....".

Keep up the nice reviews....

Janet: I think the best way to improve this song is to work on the lyrics. The main character is seeking answers from his old flame. He's not going to get them there. Those answers have to come from within.

I see your point. However, the 2nd line in the song "you know me better than I ever knew myself" sets it up for that line at the end when he asks the question" Can this heart love that way again ... tell me ... since you know me better than I know myself... can you answer that question? He believes if he could jst look into her eyes again... he would know. He wants to move on, but only if she has no love in her heart for him. I can see how the song could be written from you perspective as well, but I think i like it the way it is. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
