The bass sits in the mix better (still a tad boomy I think, on my speakers anyway). If you'd like a guest bass track send me a reference MP3 without bass--it wouldn't take long at all to do it. You mention CSNY and Joni Mitchell as comparisons--that must be why I like it so much!!
