Sammi Lee has been named the Session 5 Winner of American Songwriter’s 2026 Lyric Contest for “Nobody Said Goodbye.” Inspired by her father’s time in the service, the song explores family, memory, and the lasting significance of moments we often don’t recognize until years later.
