"Journey of the Spirit CD: Pianist Gary Pecorella has lovingly crafted an uplifting collection of compositions with accompanying text chronicling the transformation of one 'spiritual crusader'. Journey of the Spirit is gentle and mellow, meant to not stir up the soul so much as soothe it.
The melodic 'Letting Go' hints of contemporary composer Michael Nyman. 'Fragile Planet' and 'Lullabye of the Midnight Sun' are refreshing sonic tonics to ease the unrest of everyday life."

Gary Pecorella
Songwriter ~ Performing Artist on Keyboards ~ Guitar ~ Vocals
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Gary played his first notes on the piano at age 7. He quickly discovered his innate ability to recreate his favorite radio tunes by ear. It wasn't very long thereafter that he sang and strummed a guitar at his very first gig in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, at the age of 13.
Studying music at Hofstra University by day, Gary performed regularly with various bands in the evenings in the New York metro area. He founded, along with four other excellent NY musicians, 'Edmund Byrd', a popular Long Island concert band that featured the songs of CSN&Y, Chicago, the Beatles and other artists.
After a long and successful band run, Gary and the lead guitarist created a unique duo, 'MATTHEU', which went on to enjoy 5 years of popularity with its audiences.
Moving to Florida's Gold Coast in 1995, Gary began a ten year solo career on grand piano, guitar and vocals, at diverse venues including a one year run at Tampa Bay's 5 Star 'ARMANI'S Restaurant', and a three year marathon at the 'CLEARWATER BEACH HOTEL'.
Attaining 5th Place National Finalist in the Columbia Records Recording Artist Search, Gary also lays claim to songwriting awards. He writes in the pop and adult contemporary genres, and pitches songs through his self-published 'SKY'S THE LIMIT GRANDE SONGS (ASCAP)', never giving up on his dream of placing his songs with major recording artists.
Relocating to Charleston in 2006, Gary focused his attention solely to songwriting and to recording. But in the summer of 2011, he was invited to participate in a summer concert reunion in New York. It was this event that re-ignited Gary's passion, once again, to perform with a full band, and luckily for him, that band was to be 'Port Authority'.
