De’Vine Soul was founded by bassist Michael Watkins. The group was originally formed in 1996 as Salvation Flyte, then in 1999, De’Vine Soul was born. Watkins’ vision was simple – to make a musical connection with the soul. Based out of the Orlando, FL area, with a combination of talented and seasoned musicians and vocalists, De'Vine Soul's has a unique diversity in musicianship incorporating different genres of music, including Jazz, Latin, Neo-Soul, Gospel, R&B and Funk.

De'Vine Soul has performed in various venues, festivals and events in Central Florida and the Southeastern US. The band has performed in live and video performances with celebrities as Ben Stein, Darryl Hammond. as well as Miles Jaye, Najee, Alex Bugnon and Mike Phillips. In 2007, the core members of De'Vine Soul formed a new production company called DS Productions, Inc.
De'Vine Soul's is currently producing its 2nd CD release later in 2007.
