A jazzman from an early age, Bill LeFaive grew up in Meriden Connecticut, picking up piano at the age of 6. “My father loved jazz so I grew up listening to lots of great music. My first and greatest influence on piano was Oscar Peterson and I was later drawn to greats such as Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock.” Bill went on to study at the Hartford Conservatory of Music. At the age of 12, he formed the Bill LeFaive Trio which performed professionally and made several appearances on the N.Y. City jazz scene. At 19, Bill took a temporary leave of absence from the jazz scene, touring with a pop music group, opening for the likes of Kenny Rodgers, Redd Foxx, and Tony Orlando and Dawn.

In 1998, Bill completed a degree in Electrical Engineering. He moved to Orlando Florida in 2001 and is employed as a Software Engineer at a major corporation. He continues to entertain at local clubs, events, and private parties in the Orlando area and is working on a debut CD release.

Very nicely done. Listened to the three tracks you have here.
Takes me back to my jazz days. Listened to Herbie and Chick.
Growing up also listened to Oscar Peterson and Bud Powell, Eroll Garner etc.... Ella, lady Day..... Great stuff.
Your fell is terrific.
