Lyrics

Glass Diamonds
by Kathy Lynne Hartman

Glass diamonds roll right down the hill down the hill
Glass diamonds roll right down the hill down the hill
Glass diamonds won't take you to far
They just sit there shinin' like a star
The glass The glamor The sparkle The glitter
Shinin' bright tonight

Glass diamonds roll right down the hill down the hill
Glass diamonds last all through the years shinin' still
I got diamonds under my shoes
They can chase away all of my blues today
Glass diamonds roll right down the hill down the hill

I was broke and I was poor
I got thrown right out the door
Cause diamonds make me think I'm rich
Now I turned into a bitch
I don't have to get a job
Sit here eatin' corn on the cob
The moral of the story is
You're a star if you think you are
So pick em up don't pass them diamonds by today

Glass diamonds roll right down the hill down the hill
Glass diamonds roll right down the hill down the hill
Glass diamonds won't take you to far
They just sit there rev revin' like a car
The glass The glamor The glass The glamor Shinin' bright

Glass diamonds roll right down the hill down the hill
Glass diamonds roll right down the hill down the hill
You better catch em before they roll away

If disco ever becomes as strong as it was in the 70's and 80's this will be a good dance song. It's different and catchy. Reminds me a little of Blondie in a way.

Nice song.........glass diamonds..............

Nice retro disco feel. Great dancing music/song. This took me back and definitely had me moving. Great instrumentation, arrangement and recording. There are lots of placement opps for this type of song. Great job!

I really like the way your song starts out. It sets the mood for a feel-good dance track. The singer also sounds fitting for the music. I felt like I was listening to KC and the Sunshine Band meets Blondie.
