I called you here today Because I have a need
I called you here today Because I have a need
Marietta Mary Won't you help me please
Marietta Mary Say, Who put that spell on me

Mary hey Mary Was it Nelson down the road
Mary oh Mary Down in that Rehmeyers hollow
A lock of his hair And the long lost friend
Buried under the eves Brings this spell to an end
Oh Oh Oh sell your soul Rid the Hex

I heard old John Stared down a mad dog
Put his tail between his legs And turned and ran off
Help me ole John I need the powers you possess
There is a wicked evil witch At the end of my quest
Oh Oh Oh sell your soul Rid the Hex

Nelson my friend Rest easy in your bed
We climb the stair Snatch a lock from your head
Make no sound Tread easy on the ground
But the witch is there At the top of the stair

He sees the scissors in my hand
We try to make clear our demand
A lock of hair to set us free
But he won't give it up to me

With fiery rage the man descends
Feeling betrayed by his friends
The book, the hair Our only thoughts
Until that moment we got caught
A log from the hearth Straight to his head
The witch called Nelson is lying dead

Our godly quest we must complete
The witch lies dead in his defeat
With kerosene we'll send his soul
To hell we have acquired our goal

Outside the stars are shining bright
The fire illuminates the peaceful night
The hex is rid and we are free
From Nelson and all his sorcery

Look Out, What is it?
There's something back there
It's coming after you
Oh my god it's a spirit

Then from the burning house I see
His spirit coming after me
With trembling hands I see him fly
Into the blackness of the sky.

Ohhhhhh sold your soul
Ohhhhhh sold your soul
Ohhhhhh sold your soul
Rid the hex

Interesting blend of theater and electronics to create an Eire feeling and mood. Solid recording and quality vocals. Thanks for sharing it.

Another very haunting piece with great intensity, instrumentation, and sound effects. Very chilling and scary. Not only is the lead vocalist a very good singer, but I would guess she would be a very good actor as well. Dangerous and fun all at the same time.

The song began in the tone of Love and Rockets "So Alive".
The background music is haunting and atmospheric setting the stage of a Halloween anthem.
The singer demonstrates that sexy, soft yet raspy tone that the Divinyls is most well known for. In the middle break with her spoken word, she sounds a lot more powerful.
This medium tempo track picks up in the chorus and proves to be more metal with the double kick drum.the guitar line is simplistic enough to appeal to the commercial listener and has a good distortion tone that musicians will appreciate.
the tom work is impressive.

Awesome song!!!! Loved the arrangement and the raw energy from this band. Well written and very well played. Very tight players with amazing talent. Keep 'em coming like this and you are going to go very far. Best of luck and hope to hear more from you.
