Boom Go Bang

Story Behind The Song

This song is about a group of people going to a gang fight with a load of dynamite in their trunk. They didn't realize that you don't put the blasting caps in the dynamite until you're ready to use it. At four in the morning while on their way to York Pennsylvania the radio waves from the nearby nuclear power plant touched off the dynamite. It took many months to positively identify what was left of the bodies.

Song Description

The sound is upbeat and aggressive. The intent of the song is to create the feeling like a rush of adrenaline as if you were there witnessing this incident.

Lyrics

Boom Go Bang
by Louise Flemming, Rusty Newcomer, Scott Robey

Hey my brother I'm talkin' to you
They're tryin' to put you down what ya gonna do
I've come to shed some light on your life
When you hear what I say you'll wanna get up and fight

Gonna let old paleface push you around?
Gonna give in without makin' a sound?
Got a shit load of trouble right here in the back
Time to get up get on the attack

Even though I put a hole in the road
They didn't put a hole in my head
They didn't like a word that I said
The waves came through and I ended up dead

Lookin' back I see a hole down the road
Ridin' along on the outskirts of Brogue
Men in blue pickin' pieces of me
An arm and a leg hanging from a tree

They're thinkin' I'm dead but I'm alive and well
Just passing through the great gates of hell
I just smile see them climbing the tree
Can't they see old Nick sittin' beside of me

I got a job that I must do
Won't be long I'm comin' through
Won't be long I'm comin' through
Bringing dynamite to you

Hey my brothers gonna be all right
I got the power for the fight of all fights
Won't let whitie kick us around
Don't give up gotta stand our ground
20 more miles and I'll be there with you
Then we'll see what they're gonna do
You me and Nick see them running away
My dynamite is gonna save the day

A triumphant rock success! Well written an especially well performed.
Nice job!

Really good tune with a good message. Excellent vocals and a really good riff that will stick in anybody's head for a long time.
