Story Behind The Song
The song, I later figured out, is about letting go....it had something to do with the times as well; at that time in 1994....I could say is sort of personifies the concept on the two light and dark caracteristics of Yin and Yang. The lyrics have a sort of haunting, but very peacefull feeling behind them........"came at my door"...and then Edgers, "rapping at my chamber door" but all in all it is very tranquil. and the Chorus "And if you follow your soul, you will know"..is a very healing lyric. I was about 22 years old when I wrote it, had written great songs before, but was going through changes; at that moment in time, I was starting to write what I can do now, hence the reason that I am submitting this as my first song to Broadjam.com ~as an introduction to my music. Thank you.
Song Description
I tend to not think when I write. I did write the music first; i was working at a bird aviary called V.IP. Aviarys, that's where I came up with the words, at work. I luckily found a pen, jotted the words down on a peice of newspaper that I was using to change the cages with. I went home and put the words to the music.

Lyrics
Yin and Yang came at my door
Yin ate from my table, Yang ate from my floor....
Yin and Yang stayed late one night
Yin ate from my table, Yang said things unkind..
And if you listen hard, you will see the sun rise
And if you follow your soul, you will know
Yin and Yang came at my door
Yin ate from my table, Yang ate from my floor...
And if you listen hard, you will see the sun rise
And if you follow your soul, you will know
Yin and Yang came at my door
Yin ate from my table, Yang ate from my floor....oh yea.
