Story Behind The Song
I was messin' around on the guitar one day, writing music first....and I just started playing this one. I then, a year of maybe more, started hummin' a melody and lyrics came out. When it came to the chorus, I had to do it.....the chorus lyrics are from a good friend whom I was in a band with in the mid 90's, Greg Markel. I then finished the song, I showed it to him, he said it'de never go anywhere, heh, he's a funny guy, I showed it to many people, and am now showwing it to, hopefully a lot of people here on broadjam.
Song Description
This song is about letting go. It's about doing what you love (hopefully for a living) but also can ground you in a moment in life to focus on what you love and what you can then accomplish to do it (doesn't have to be skatin', or anything else for that matter"........to do it for a living. It's a song for the kids, whom have no direction these days; hopefully it can reach a lot of them, besides the friends I have. I love this song, and I'm sure a lot of people would too.

Lyrics
Lookin' back on yesterday and knowing where you are
no'one even told you that you'de get very far
somethin' in your eyes says your home and free
I'd like to see, I'd like to see.....
I could have run, I could have soard
So, I chose to live my life...
on a Skateboard
How was he to know that the world would change
no'one ever told him that it'de go his way
somethin' in his eyes says he's home and safe
learn another trick and you'll hear him sing
I could have run, I could have soard
but I chose to live my life...
on a Skateboard
and he sings la la da de da la la la........
I could have run, I could have soard
but I chose to live my life,
on a skateboard
